Bruno Cheyrou!!!

HAHAHAHAHA
I can't believe I gave a shit about the team back then.. horrific

Yeah I was about to say. Funny really - but I'm pretty sure that's a given. Suarez, Salah or Torres in their pomp? I know who I'd go for...

EDIT while I love our Egyptian King - As far as I'm concerned it's VVD that (to me anyway) changed everything.
Yeah VVD is the real 'top reason' we're enjoying the high life.

I was watching him the other day and it's such a rare thing to see VVD rushed or pressed. As soon as he gets the ball other teams decide that is not worth it rushing him or harring him. He gets so much time on the ball that this allows out team so many benefits. We can play sightly higher, we can get a brief respite, it gives us time to organize and he also offers us another source of attack because his passing is so good.

All true, but Matip never seems to get enough credit. When next to VVD, he is his equal and perhaps the better player this season, but VVD makes everyone next to him better and spreads his sense of calm and focus.

Konate is a present surprise there. Knew he was quick, didn't know he was rapid.

Interesting, so rapid is quicker than quick.

So where does 'speedy' come in? Is 'Rapid' a step down? What about 'Swift'?

[article]Liverpool legend Michael Owen expects Mohamed Salah to sign a new contract this summer.

The Egyptian winger is out of contract in the summer of 2023, which raises the prospect of him leaving on a free in a year's time.

That is why Liverpool will hope he extends this summer, or they may have to sell him in the latter stages of the transfer window.

Former striker Owen told BBC Sport: "I'd be very surprised if Mo Salah didn't sign with Liverpool. What are the options at the moment?

"You are only going either sideways to Manchester City or down anywhere else because there is no-one else as good as these two teams in the world at the moment.

"Let's give everyone time because these things don't happen overnight.

"You are talking about one of the biggest clubs in the world and one of the biggest players in the world and that player is about to sign the biggest contract of his life."[/article]
