Salah-ng, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye

I think we might just sign Bellingham with any Salah money and opt for Diaz, Mane, Firmino, Jota.

Risky but I could see it happening

smacks of the decision to start the season a center half light, i hope lessons were learned

I can't see Salah moving this summer, not when players of his calibre can get all that signing on money for themselves. If we were doing shit then maybe, but he knows he'll be challenging for trophies with us and then able to make himself unfathomably wealthy.

Feel like we are going to see a lot more of this. Run their contract down and get a sign-on bonus.

It doesn't matter who we have lined up, we'll make them superstars as long as Klopp & his backroom staff remain.

Ok Diaz was already top notch but he still had it to do in a much bigger league, he's doing it right away.

Fab Virgil Matip Alisson Mane Salah Firmino Jota Robbo, all these transfers have just clicked for us and Klopp is the instigating factor behind it all.

We could sign Dwight Mcneil and I'd be confident we'd turn him into the best winger in the league within a few months.

Yes it'd be sad to lose a player like Mo but it's been dragging on for over a year now that I just don't care anymore.

So we start winning games by 2 goal instead of 3's and 4's. . We are having to do this more and more since the dip in form by Mo after the AFCON. Jota, Minamino, and Diaz are stepping up to the plate with some vital goals when needed, Fab's VVD, TAA are chipping in.
Just like we did with Rush, Aldridge, Fowler, Owen, Torres, Suarez we replace Salah. Difference between back then and now we have real goals scorers in Jota and Diaz, and I trust Klopp to find us another

This is all very well, but how would it affect the rest of the team going forward?, That would be a big consideration too imo…I do trust in Klopp and co, to be aware of all possible eventualities and move/plan accordingly …love Mo and would love him to stay but it’s not just about him!

They have all already agreed their contract renewals so won’t be an issue for 2 to 3 yrs but also they all have to remember they aren’t a iconic top 3 striker. He’s a stand out and not saying he should get 400k though but 280k seems well below others out there if true:

Compared to PL:

Even Kante who’s injured 30% of games gets more it seems.
Sancho is on more too.

If Salah is after 400k then even current market, he will get that easily elsewhere.

Fuck Barca. Unless they come to our offices with £120m up front, buy-out style. They can fuck right off.

Barcelona are reportedly considering a bid of between £50-58m on Mo Salah this summer if Liverpool fail to agree fresh terms for their star forward.
This comes from AS, with the publication claiming that Xavi is weighing up the Egyptian as an alternative to Erling Haaland.

Not only is the laughing emoji from Salah's agent unprofessional it actually comes off as desperate too. I think Salahs camp knows full well that Liverpool is not prepared to break their wage cap and probably are prepared for a future without him. End of the day Salah will be 31 in a full-throttle team like Liverpool you would expect Salahs pressing output to slowly decrease as the years pass. So even if we were going to keep Salah the club was always going to have a succession plan in place hence our stance.

Considering Belgian Chocolate Expert Hazard went for 100m in the last year of his contract at Chelsea you would expect that we should want at least this for Salah.

It's weird, 1 min 40 seconds in and he still doesn't know it was Mo they were talking about. Isn't he supposed to be some fifa consultant on world football now? Does he not read the news?

Is this show hosted from London or Doha?

also you know he won’t retire from international football either which isn’t going to help his longevity

I think Mo needs his accountant to help here too. If he signs now his salary jumps and his income is guaranteed whatever happens (injury/form).

If he waits 6 months then he needs to recover the lost additional earnings against the uplifted contract and term.

If he runs his contract down then he REALLY needs a big pay differential to compensate.

Both the latter options assume fitness and form are not interrupted
