Salah was at his deadliest when he was playing along side Bobby and Mane (when they were both inform and before covid), since then his numbers have dropped off,
Yes he still scores, and now seems to get more assissts, but his partnership with the other striker does not work as well; and most of his goals now come from second balls(others attemps on goal from corners, etc) or the others looking to pick him out even when there are better options on, as he has lost some of that blistering speed he once had

Here is the thing for me...Should he pick up a long term injury, our remaining strikers have very little time playing as a cohesive unit without Mo.
If we keep him this season that's fine, but we need to move him on early next summer so that we can start playing the other strikers together to form the "Next" generation of the three Musketeers

Probably won't leave this summer, but I guess this is his final season at the club. Sad that he won't play in the CL again or win any trophies.

Should start prepping for players to replace him

Hope we're looking at Gift Orban, who looks like the next big thing

It’s all down to Salah - if he agitates for a move then we’ll probably sell and try to “manage”.

Stuff this £50m bullshit though - world record transfer fee or fuck right off and report the Saudi’s for tapping up (not that it’ll make a difference).

As @Beamrider mentioned - know what his value is to them - he’s as important as Ronaldo and we should make them pay us accordingly, he’ll be the face of their league.

If they want him right now - £200m+, if not - they can wait.

If Mo starts chucking tanty’s - I’d fucking bench the cunt - actually, I’d go further and ban the cunt from training with any Liverpool squad - I’d pay him his weekly wage, minus his bonus incentives to go and train by himself in the park and every time his cunt agent tweets I’d add £10m to his sell price and make it clear we’ll hold him to the bumper contract he was delighted to sign.

For the record - I don’t think Mo will act the cunt.

He needs to cut the cryptic messages on insta too.

His chess one yesterday where it was obviously "he can't move there... at the moment".

The agent absolutely wants this move to happen. It's his last big money move.
The decision is Salah's.

I guess I’m the only fan who wants Salah here til he’s 37/38 like some of the Madrid stars.

He’s up there with our best players ever and easily has 4/5 great years left in the tank.

Super fit, driven, professional to the max, goals, assists, hunger for success.

I want him to retire here our all time top goal scorer with a bagful of more trophies.

Fuck cashing in on the biggest legend we’ve had at the club since Gerrard.

What the fuck 200 or 100m is worth if we keep winning no shit when Klopp is here. It made sense to sell Hendo, I think we should have never gone against Edward's will to pay him even higher, that led to Edward's departure imo.
Salah frees some space for others just because of his presence. Even if we win Europa league and one more domestic trophy, it would serve the purpose. You maniacs are proper brainwashed, it is club's problem how to generate money and spend when necessary. As a fan I like watching Salah play in red and want to win any trophy possible l.

I disagree. He is more important than Ronaldo.

FSG’s greatest trick is for getting us into this selling club mentality. Still waiting on a brand new DM and CB from Hendo and Fab money but doubt will see that this summer…

Happy for a club legend to whom we signed for £38m to play and retire at LFC after 200 goals if that’s what he wants to do.

I agree, actually. And I don't think we will sell him for game changing gazillions anyway. We're chumps for this kind of thing..

Haven't read the whole thread...

But heard something today. Don't be surprised to see him sold. Though Klopp doesn't want this.

Real play in a less competitive league that is less athletically demanding and have teams of superstars that can carry old ass talent for that bit of magic.

Not only is Salah not that sort of player (not technically brilliant) we aren't that sort of team. I'd be fine keeping him if we were real Madrid. We would have quite some midfield behind him, too.

What were Salah’s running stats last season?
I would bet he was up there. He probably also started most number of games, super fit.
Fact was he was our best forward with highest goals and assists. He isn’t some burnt out legend sitting on the bench.

Every player has his price in football, provided we can get a replacement in before the deadline.
Clubs exist to win things though, not to generate profits. Even if there are links, the former must be the main priority.

Heretic!

We can do 'a' quadruple this season. A fitting farewell.

How many outside of the box curlers did Allison score? Vvd known for his twinkle toes? They replaced coutinho.

Without Salah and with another right sided forward who scores less goals but tracks back, we could play more aggressively through the centre. Then you end up with goals from midfield and cf, that would make up for the loss of goals (that again, will happen whether we sell him or not). That's just one way of indirectly replacing him. I already think he's lost the ability to be a one man counter attack. How are we replacing those goals we've already lost?

You know he scored 30 goals last season? For the 3rd season in a row. I just can't see us signing someone who can do that, feel free to disagree like.

A. This is key... Even if we got 200m, does anybody out there think we'd spend even half of it on a worthwhile replacement?

B. Not sure this club does exist to win trophies any more, mate... I think we're the new Arsenal of a few years back - The owners will(begrudgingly) spend enough to keep us competitive for the top 4 and the odd cup run, but they're done fund title charges, I fear.

As soon as JK has had enough of them, we're utterly fucked again.

I just hope we’ve got a right sided Luis Diaz we can pull out of our arse when the time comes. Preferably arriving this January but there’s no way we’re that organised.

Are you willfully ignoring every response I've made to this same point?

We don't need to find another Salah if we get rid of Salah, or he's no longer as useful.

Fair point, he’s still only 31 and I’m happy to see him here at 34/35.

Nice the Saudis waited till the last week before the window shuts. All very predictable on how this will play out. Do wonder if Klopp will finally walk over this or just keep plodding along with the party line?
