A front 4 option from Berahino, Sturridge, Ings and Origi next season will make us forget our striker woes from this season soon enough.
There's risk involved with every signing; we've signed goalscorers before like Carroll, Cisse, Kuyt, Borini, Balotelli, N'Gog, etc, some of whom cost fortunes and some were cheap but none of them scored regularly. Of course Ings, Berahino and Origi are risky signings (Ings less so because of his low fee) but Sturridge was a risk too.In theory maybe, but one proven striker who is extremely injury prone and three young strikers who are yet to really prove themselves is a hell of a risk...

Of course there's risk in every signing. But we should try not to have 4 risky players at once. We should have at least one that we can rely on to at least some extent. May be easier said than done though.
We should prioritise buying Southampton scouting team instead of their actual team.I guess this is the problem, if you're not paying for potential, you're looking for someone who's done it over a number of seasons, which means forking out big money. Finding someone with those characteristics in this league is nearly impossible, so it's either fork out on a man of the moment (which we and others have been stung on before), go for someone overseas who's an up and comer, or pay big for a star who's either looking for their big move or who isn't getting a look in at one of the giants. Unless you've got early-Wenger abilities in the scouting departments, it's either short to midrange risks, or spending big money and big wages on someone you hope will have the consistency to warrant the layout.

Or Porto's, Benficas etc.We should prioritise buying Southampton scouting team instead of their actual team.
Ngog was never a goalscorer. His record in France was terrible. 1 league goal. There's risk involved with every signing; we've signed goalscorers before like Carroll, Cisse, Kuyt, Borini, Balotelli, N'Gog, etc, some of whom cost fortunes and some were cheap but none of them scored regularly. £12M FOR BERAHINO?
There has been a lot of talk already during this transfer window about a possible exit for Saido Berahino to Liverpool or Tottenhamfrom West Brom, with reports suggesting a bid of over £20million would be required to prize the forward away from the Hawthorns.
Sky sources indicate, however, that the asking price is actually between £12m and £15m, which will undoubtedly bring in several interested parties.
Pretty sure I've used that line to a girl before now...Well, I get can behind that figure.
Yeah for that figure he is definitely worth the gamble. Which means we'll do nothing and end up with the next aspas.Well, I get can behind that figure.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has been told he can sign West Bromwich Albion hot-shot Saido Berahino for £23million - but must sell Italy international Fabio Borini first.
That is according to The Lying Rag, who report that Liverpool's owners are determined to finally cash in on Borini after he turned down an £11million move to Sunderland in the summer.
Liverpool are in pole position to sign England under-21 international Berahino, with Tottenham Hotspur said to be looking elsewhere for better value.
