I would agree with this but i have had to listen to away surpporters take the piss one to many times this season. The cun... Bentiez has done a couple of wonderful things for this club but he is in grave danger of turning adulation into sheer hatred. He does need to do the hounrable thing before it goes from Benitez won us the European to that Cunt destroyed us.

Last year we played good football, scored exciting goals, shat all over some quality teams and bitter rivals, and had a chance to win the title, and your confidence we wouldn't do it doesn't change that.

Ha. I have anything but a losers mentality and that is why I wasn't happy last season as I knew we wouldn't win and anything bar first is not good enough.

We lost last year because we brought in a striker and didn't play him while not bringing in any pace or width. Ultimately it was our lack of creativity and ability to break down the weaker teams that cost us the title and I could see that coming from the day we wasted our budget on Keane.

Rafa is unable to turn our season around and looks like he has run out of ideas. It's really hard to stomach players coming out in the media saying that our season starts now! :-[ That's embarassing when we are close to the end.

Time for Rafa to do the honourable thing and resign. He has run his course. We aren't improving as a team. Our footall in ineffective and we look a Championship side. It's difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel when our players lack the courage to take responsibility. We just don't look a quality side.

Last night was a shambles and we got exactly what we deserved. Shocking!

I would guess that its simply a case of the owners hoping that Barca whip Madrid in La Liga, and that Real come knocking in the summer for Rafa - mutual termination of contract, thanks very much.

"Lost the dressing room" is a much overused phrase, but there HAS to be something wrong if you fail to raise your team twice in quick succession against such inferior opposition..... however, as big a concern must be the fact that the squad cant get themselves together and come up with better personal perfomances

[/quote]Quite so Grjt. 210minutes against a team near the Relegation zone in a lower league with no manager, who havnt won in 8 games, and not kept a clean sheet in 6. And we manage 4 shots on target, and one goal (if you assume gerrard was going for goal in the first game) it's fucking appalling.

For 20 minutes in the second half yesterday we played exactly the kind of football I want us to. Quick, fast, incisive, direct, then we get to the edge of the box and just turn to shit. We have NO attacking options, and that lies solely with the gaffer.

For as much as Rafa is to blame of our lacklustre performances against Reading the players really has to take a good look themselves too.

We actually played worse in the first half - with Gerrard and Torres on the pitch - than in the second. I'm not sure what to extract from that, but surely, the players has got to stop feeling sorry for themselves and get going.

Rafa looked like a very frustrated manager last night and rightly so, the pressure is mounting, I do however feel that the players at this stage are equally to blame.

As I've said elsewhere the games against Stoke and Spurs will be massive. For us as a club and not least for the manager who very well could be finding himself stuck in the corner if we aren't to perform in those game.

But surely we'll see a far more spirited and commited performance by the team come Saturday. We've simply got to.
