Sack Race 22/23

Wow, Bayern are fucking ruthless. I cannot think of another example of a manager who's well in the hunt for a Treble getting dismissed mid-season. That said, it did seem like the Bayern job came a little too soon and it may well be that a more seasoned manager will pick up wins and points at the business end of the season that Nagelsmann wouldn't. I think their odds of going through against City have increased. And if Tuchel wins the CL, they will look like geniuses.

As for Nagelsmann, I have a feeling he will coach Bayern again in the future. Now off to Spurs?

Isn't this like their worst league campaign in 10 years?

Most likely, but he's doing with Chupa Moting as his striker (14 goals). Previous Bayern teams have had Lewandowski up front.
If they were to consider someone for the sack it should be Sahliamidzic for signing Mane and not a top striker.

Yep. News broke last night. Confirmed this morning. Tuchel not yet confirmed although it's more or less a matter of time.

Crazy to me but I wonder how Bayern fans feel about this?

Quick read on Twitter seems to suggest that they're not happy with the treatment of Nagelsmann.
Would be hilarious if Tuchel now doesnt win the Bundesliga.

Is it just me or is there a dearth of good managerial talent out there at the moment?

If Klopp resigned tomorrow I'd be at a loss as to who to target.

We don’t really know the situations of Poch, Enrique, Zidane, Tite etc but yes the majority seem to be Premier League rejects.

Hmm. Certainly all the pressure is on Tuchel’s shoulders, the Nagelsmann doubters will undoubtedly argue Dortmund were on their way to beating them to the league under Nagelsmann anyway. Surely the board at Bayern have to access the losses they’ve suffered….away to Gladbach with 10 men the whole game, 2 pen decisions aaginst them at Leverkusen.

What does the first point even mean?

"negative sporting development....in Bundesliga" What?

Nagelsmann has got an annoying face. In fact, I just find him annoying in general.

I don't care what goes on at Bayern but I wouldn't have much sympathy for him if I did.

Interesting. I always thought the 2013 team of Jupp Heynkes was a beast of a team, but he doesn't feature here.
Good spot!

He should probably be around Flick's numbers for pts average league wise.

Yeah, the highly rate ones haven't won much to back up their rising status (not helped by the circumstances at their current clubs).

Oliver Glasner: finishing 4th and qualifying for CL with Wolfsburg
Andoni Iraola: won promotion with Rayo Vallecano, finished midtable in 1st season back in top flight, now in the top half with an outside chance of European qualification
Matthias Jaissle: "hard to fail" at RB Salzburg (see Jesse Marsch)
Ruben Amorim: guided Sporting to 1st league title in 19 yrs inc. record 32-match unbeaten streak + some Portuguese League Cups
Marcelo Gallardo: won loads at River Plate but unproven in European football
Roberto De Zerbi: might have won something if his stint at Shakhtar Donetsk wasn't cut short
Marco Rose: rebuilding his reputation at Leipzig after the failed Dortmund move

Translated from Bayern-speak I think it means they are currently not 10 points clear in 1st place as God and Nature intended.
Read somewhere that if Bundesliga started in January, Bayern would be 4th with Dortmund 10 points ahead of them.
