Sack Race 22/23

He's pretty lucky to be able to get top flight jobs in quick succession despite his lack of success. Are they planning for the future in Championship next season or do they really believe he can keep them up?

They appointed Jones because apparently his numbers suggested he had strengths in particular areas, like defending set pieces, which they wanted to tighten up - an object lesson in the need to use stats intelligently. Wonder if they've reached this (on the face of it, loopy) decision the same way.

Heh. Good on him. He'll secure multiple payoffs for getting fired fired then go manage the USMNT after

I heard on a podcast yesterday that the Southampton person who is doing these appointments is the same fella who got Thomas Frank for Brentford. So he has some reputation. That could easily dissolve if Marsch is a dud.

Left Blackpool to be Gerrard's assistant at Villa and then it's been downwards since... Beale made the smart move of switching to Rangers though.

I questioned Brugge's decision at the time. Seems like they caught a case of the Evertons and got ideas above their station. Their league form wasn't great but wait it out, especially in light of their European adventures.

Parker joins the Lampard, Gerrard pile of failing English midfielder managers but with less pedigree from his playing days. Where to next?

Tuchel was sacked for 'off field reasons'

According to his now ex wife.

The players 'lost respect for him'

So 2+2 he had a case of the John Terry's.. but who's wife did he have an affair with?

Brugge are 3rd 9 points off 3rd so probably not making CL

That league is a bit bizarre isn't it because they have their "regular" season where they each play home and away (34 games) and then they enter a championship/relegation play offs which is played like a month later after the regular season ends, an extra 6 games or something.... WHY?

Only a few years ago they extended the number of sides from 16 to 18, so why not just do what the Bundesliga do and crown your champion after 34 games and automatically relegate your bottom 2 teams?

I’ve loosened the purse string to appease the fans.

Isn't it nice when a couple of assholes go at it?

But while Conte believes Richarlison did not criticise him, he agrees that his season "has been not good".
"He is right", said the Italian.
"He started well with us, he then had an injury and went to the World Cup and had another serious injury.
"He's scored zero goals with us [in the Premier League], only two goals in the Champions League and the guy was really honest to say his season was not good.
"His season has not finished yet. If he deserves to play I'll give him the opportunity."

Hahahahaha.

Hope Conte hangs him out to dry like he did Costa, can't stand that fucking ugly rat....makes my skin crawl.
