How exciting can a draw be?
[/quote]
It can be very exciting in cricket! In a team's innings, the batters who come in at the end of the innings are bowlers, who aren't usually much good at batting, and the worst is always number 11. Onions is England's number 11 and he came in with around 2 'overs,' that is 12 balls, to go before the end of the match. If Onions had got out, South Africa would have squared the series at 1 match each. There was huge pressure on Onions and every defensive shot he played was cheered by the England fans. 🙂

haha, only in cricket
*scratch head muttering strange game*

Not at all. There are plenty of exciting draws, even goalless draws, in football. The way England held out at the end of this match was directly equivalent to the way LFC held out in Istanbul after we'd equalised and Milan were throwing everything plus the kitchen sink at us.

Ah now that makes sense! Thanks JJ
Actually I have a very good English friend and his daughters were nuts over cricket. Both of them were trying to explain the finer points of cricket to me during my summer visit (when England was playing the Aussies I think) to London to no avail!
*shrugs shoulders*
Actually, I may watch some one dayers or highlights of test matches. I can't imagine myself at the ground for 5 days!
