Pietersen's mum is English anyway. Put it this way, he's as English as Amla is South African.

That just leaves Prior, Strauss and Trott to explain away then mate 😉

Yah and explain why he didn't want to 'give it a go' for the Proteas?

You just want Owen Morgan in the side. And he isn't even Welsh. 😉

Ahem!

175-5 at close of play. When Smith and Kallis were grinding out the runs, things were looking ominous, but Swann got Kallis for 75 with an outside edge, Smith was run out for 75 and Onions got the wicket of Duminy for 4 runs, which was no less than he deserved for his bowling today.

Play finished over an hour early because of bad light - apparently this is always a problem at Durban.

SA finished on 343 after an irritating last-wicket stand of 50 between Steyn and Ntini. I thought Broad bowled at Ntini in a pretty stupid way ........ just aim for the bloody stumps!!!

England have started well in dodgy weather conditions - 59 for no wicket and Strauss has made 50. That tells you something about the impact Cook has had so far! ;D

Fair play to Cook for getting a ton under that pressure.

Must be in with a chance of getting a win here, if a few more runs can be scored tomorrow.

England finished day 3 on 386-5, a first innings lead of 43. Prior and Bell are doing OK and there are some attacking batters still to come, so hopefully by around tea time tomorrow England should have a big lead.

Cook was out after a rather slow 118, Collingwood made a not-much-quicker 91 and Bell is not out 55.

The only options now look like an England win or a draw.

Methinks you're not a member of Cook's fan club, Portly!

Anorak fact no.94: it's five years since a right-handed England opener, Michael Vaughan to be exact, got a ton playing for his country. There have been a number scored in that time, but all by left-handers.

I couldn't believe that he's only 40 runs away from registering 1000 test runs for this year (average of 45 over this period of time i think they said). That'll be a great effort by anybodies standards.

It would be harsh to criticise Cook after he made a century and he is still only a youngster by cricket standards. However, he has something of the Boycott about him. For example, he had decided that as he was always out playing at balls on the off side, he would determinedly leave alone every ball bowled on the off side. The Saffers realised this and therefore bowled every ball on the off side, which meant that for long periods of his innings nothing happened. Eventually he did play at a ball on the off side and was out! ;D

oh well ... well done england, this test is as good as over.

The dodgy Durban weather could still come to your rescue LTW! 😱

England win by an innings and 98 runs.

Magnificent performance. Swann second highest test wicket-taker for the calendar year.

Indeed, with Broad and Anderson, England have three of the top five.

At some stage during the first two Ashes tests this year, Stuart MacGill 'predicted' on the Australian coverage that Graeme Swann 'will never take another test wicket'.

What a fucking stupid, bitter, fat-headed, porcine, fucking cunting fucking cunt.
