Should Arsenal change their name to RVP FC. This is getting ridiculous now. Two more goals today. I presumed he would slow up but he is showing no signs of it. He always looks like a fresh injury is right around the corner and Arsenal as per usual will struggle without him.

His contract must be a sensitive subject at the Emirates. I don't think he singed one yet.

He has said he's waiting until the end of the season before even thinking about it.

Meaning he wants to go to Real or Barca. He's a brilliant player and has been for years.

Yep. He's been excellent for years. Injuries to him perhaps cost Arsenal a title or two.

He'd be an outrageous free singing for some even after you factor in a big signing on fee.

The talent was there from an early but i didn't imagine he could be this good.

His goalscoring record at Feyenoord was pretty average from memory and he had a few disciplinary issues too. Great purchase though.

ROBIN Van Persie might have come within a whisker of equalling Alan Shearer's record for Premier League goals in a calendar year – but Neil Warnock was not impressed.

The Arsenal striker's winner in QPR's 1-0 defeat at the Emirates yesterday was his 35th goal of 2011, one short of the 36 Shearer struck back in 1995.

But Rs boss Warnock reckons Van Persie is helped by referees turning a blind eye to the dark side of his game.

He said: “Robin gets away with murder. Every long ball that comes in, he gets his arms up and fouls the defender. Perhaps I need to teach my players to do that.

“It must be absolutely within the laws of the game as referees give it, he gets away with it. He must have committed six of seven fouls like that today, but nobody has picked them up.”
