What a DOF would do is something of a moveable feast - I doubt there's just one model of how such a set-up works. I do agree, as I said above, that Rodgers isn't going to go for it, so both sides in that discussion (if it happens) will have big decisions to make.

I'd put your penultimate sentence slightly differently. I think they did sort the matter out, or believed they had, but may now be having second thoughts. And yes, *if* this does all happen I do think Rodgers' position may well boil down to "Back me or sack me". What I don't know is which way FSG would then jump. If they keep him on, he may find his targets get quite a bit more demanding.
