Ronaldinho-Fat.jpg

Look. I know he looks like this now ^

BUT ITS RONALDINHO. How could you not have a little tiny pang of excitement at that?

He'd be shit and lazy and we could only play him in home games against the utter muck, but ITS RONALDINHO.

I dont care how much it cost, how fat he is, how little he would play, how little impact he would have..ITS RONALDINHO.

Im in.

'Wew to be faiw the boy wonaldinho looked a tad overweight, but we got the wesult on account of his wowld class wocket in injuwy time so im happy with the bwaziwwian and the wesult'

There really is no valid reason to NOT believe this is a genuine and real link.

*skips off to get a new shirt printed*

PS-The best thing ever would be that my mate Wasim is the biggest Ronaldinho fan ever, he has Brazil, Barcelona, Ac and PSG shirts with Ronaldinho on the back and HE is a massive Man Utd fan.

I would lol my fucking cock off if we signed Ronnie.........Which lets face it is now almost certain with just the i's to be dotted and the t's to be crossed before the deal is rubber stamped.

An older player who will want a huge salary and whose best years are long gone. Sounds just the ticket for the Fenway group.
Meaning..? They've not done anything like this at the Red Sox. What are you talking about?
For fuck's sake.

If in doubt, always assume Wilko is being sacastic.
I haven't the slightest idea what you mean, Dels.

Oh sod off. I've already acknowledged that you got me, somewhere up there in an earlier post.

I hate him.. Everytime i watch him i want to punch things..

he slows the game down and 70% of what he does is pointless showing off. I remember for Barcelona he would sometimes receive the ball about 20 times within a minute and do fuck all with it..

Ronaldinho was probably the best player on the planet during his time at Barca so that is a bit harsh.

Those are exactly the reasons I wouldn't want him. Why spunk big money we can ill afford on someone like that - Ronaldinho or not. Eeven at 30, he's had his day - time to look elsewhere

I'm with you once. Him and babel would tear teams apart, and as lucas as our shield we'd be nigh on indestructable

If only Mark Walters and Paul Stewart were still playing also - we'd be unbeatable with that lot

Ah, Mark Walters. Flying down the wing, doing his amazing step-over that no defender could read. Glory days indeed.

The plus side is if that gut can put on a Liverpool shirt....then I still have a chance.

Not going to spoil the Dinho-party but he was completely invisble througout last nights game against Ajax.

Perhaps his mind is already set on Liverpool?

I don't agree with that at all.

He's one of the players I'd watch who'd actually do something genuine to influence the game with his skill, rather than doing it for showboating sake. His back-heels, flik-flakes, Marseille roulette, looking in the opposite direction to a pass etc, amongst everything else, more often than most players I can think of resulted in something penetrating attacking wise.

He didn't become world player of the year for being a showboater, he was genuinely magnificent at everything for a couple of seasons at least, that season where Barca clawed back the title from Real under Rijkaard was in a good part due to outrageously consistent match-winning performances from him.

As for slowing the game down, the Barca side he was initially part of, although free-flowing, was nowhere near as even as it is now in terms of passing ability and movement all over the pitch. He'd sometimes pick the ball up very deep, keep the ball with his dribbling, before finding the ideal pass and then moving. He had the intelligence not to just run at the opposition everytime he had the ball, knowing when to probe and pick out a pass and when to go on a mazy dribble.

Ha can you imagine him in out skin tight kit?

Mind you, I think he's lost his belly a bit now, I made a point of looking during the game last night.

On a 6month deal, we should do it. He still has those moments of magic....and he's RONALDINHO!

I fucking loved Mark Walters because of the Auxerre game. I refused to accept he was shit 🙁
If that's the night I'm think of................ were we 2-0 from the first leg and beat them 3-0 at Anfield. Walters got the 3rd and I think Mike Marsh scored that night too. It must be a long time ago because (if it's the same night) I remember The Kop was still terraced.

Indeed. Absurd comments from Gareth above.

Molby, Marsh, Walters.

Beautiful. My favourite ever game.

And only about 22000 or something in attendance!
22,000 , seriously? I remember a cracking atmosphere and the passing of time must have made me overlook the fact the ground was only half full.

About 23700 odd and the Kop was empty on the wings. I remember getting back to Victoria at about 6am after that one! My happiest experience of the Souness era bar the 92 Cup Final!

AC Milan have slapped an 8million euros price tag on fading star Ronaldinho.

The 30-year-old Brazilian international is in the final year of his contract with the Italian giants.

His former club Gremio had expressed an interest in taking him back to his homeland to finish his career during the January transfer window.

They had believed they may be able to get the former European Footballer of the Year for free.

However, after a meeting with the player's agent, Milan have decided that will not be the case.
Alert

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani told the Football Italia website: "Whoever wants Ronaldinho has to pay 8million euros."

This news is sure to alert other Brazilian clubs such as Palmeiras and Flamengo, who could possibly complete this deal with the help of a sponsor.

Should the Brazilian maverick seek to continue his career in Europe, Liverpool have been mentioned as possible suitors, while Los Angeles Galaxy are also monitoring the situation.
