An older player who will want a huge salary and whose best years are long gone. Sounds just the ticket for the Fenway group.
Meaning..? They've not done anything like this at the Red Sox. What are you talking about?

Party Animal + Liverpool ? Not.
Add major drug importing route and it's a recipe for disaster. Not the recipe Ronaldinho needs really. More like tofu and bean salad.

If in doubt, always assume Wilko is being sacastic.
Wilko's being sarcastic and wrong. Whaddapie's just being wrong.

Because the NESV sabrementics (sic) system does not preclude picking up older, experienced, injury-prone, or "risky" talent if the price is right.

your wrong. sabremetrics is about buying the best young players in the world for peanuts. it also garrantees a brilliant squad no matter whose in charge. i thought you would of known that m8.

i was of the opinion it wasn't jut young players, rather talented players undervalued.

he needs to be laying for a manager who'll let him do what he wants on the pitch and in his private life, as Leonardo did last year ... while I think it would be interesting to have him here, I think there's no point (he'll also be in Joe Cole's position).

Ronaldinho would be in "Joe Cole's position"...

Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has told AC Milan forward Ronaldinho to join him at Anfield.

Ronaldinho, 30, has been tipped to leave the Italian side and on Tuesday it was reported that the Reds were interested in him.

And Lucas has backed the move, believing his fellow Brazilian can change the path to fortune for the Reds.

"I am not aware of anything in terms of Ronaldinho signing, but I would be very happy if this was to happen," Lucas told Globoesporte.

"We started a friendship when we played in the Olympics and for Brazil. It would be nice to play with him at Liverpool.

"Everyone knows Ronaldinho and they know what he can do."

Ronaldinho's contract with AC Milan runs out in the summer, prompting him to be linked with a whole host of clubs, with LA Galaxy also reportedly tracking the forward.

They didn't 'pick up' David Ortiz, they resigned him!

Babel's been tweeting about 'Dinho' coming to Liverpool..

lol

Is it about how Dinho would be on the bench as Babelinho has that position held down tight? Tingz. Mandem.

Ortiz had a very productive season last year - It's not that big a risk (partially because the price is right, in this case). But that's a fair point.

My point was that they don't pay outrageous salaries for those who's best years are behind them.

Mea culpa, if I was whoosed...

Would it be the first World player of the year to play for us?
Sure would be. Fernando was the closest in 2008. I'm sure had it been in existence before 91 we would've had a few though!
