According to Italian ItaSportsPress (don't know them to be honest) Ronaldinho could be on his way to Liverpool this coming window.

Hmmm.....

Hmm.

Hmmmmmmmmmm......

What?

he needs to be laying for a manager who'll let him do what he wants on the pitch and in his private life, as Leonardo did last year ... while I think it would be interesting to have him here, I think there's no point (he'll also be in Joe Cole's position).

It'll never happen but I admit I'd be excited if it did.

-----------Ronaldinho-----------

An older player who will want a huge salary and whose best years are long gone. Sounds just the ticket for the Fenway group.

If we got him on a semi-decent wage it would be a boost to the other players and provide futher strength in depth in attack. I think it would be a good thing as were going through this "transitional" period.

mean while, back in the real world:

Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra is set for a return to England in January.

AS says Real are eager to offload the France international.

The 25-year-old former Arsenal, Chelsea and Portsmouth midfielder has started only three league games this season and will not sit on the bench forever.

Liverpool and Tottenham would be keen to take Diarra on loan with a view to buy at the end of the season, while Aston Villa and Manchester United are also watching developments.

last match I saw him was when he came on against Barca, I thought he was one of the better players, would be a decent signing.

ronaldinho can f off, shit, old, unfit and unlikely to cope with the league - only on a free with low wages should it even be remotely considered

I don't know, he had a very good last season. I have no idea in what kind of condition he is at the moment though?

If we didn't sign Cole on big wages, this wouldn't be such a bad idea. We could be linked with far worse players.

Anyway, is he that much older than Gerrard? I thought he would be 31 at worst.

he's a real gypsy player, that diarra, isn't he? that doesn't fill me with confidence, but could clearly be a good buy at the right price.

as for ronaldinho...how fat is he at the moment? the only logic i could possibly see in it is if we could get him on a short-term contract with him responding to the challenge and actually trying for 6 months or so. he's trouble in the long run, but it's conceivable that a fired-up ronaldinho could make the difference between us getting 4th or not. plus, it'd just be cool.

Ronaldinho can do all manner of stepovers, even if he is fat and lazy. Sign!
Yeah and he can do elastico and rabona like no one else!

He's still pretty fat and has no pace to speak of any more. He can do the playmaking thing in the final third, but the manager would have to ensure that his team-mates do all his work for him.

I pretty much agree.

It would be a rather fun signing and as Peter says could we get him on a short, none-insane, performance-based contract he'd perhaps be worth a long shot. He's not that old after all.

And Lucas wouldn't mind running twice as much to accomodate Ronaldinho I'm sure.

Ronaldinho, Lucas, Babelinho.. sky's the limit!!

Yup, he can come up with pure moment of genius even now...but the team should get used to playing with only 10 players on the pitch when he doesn't have the ball.

[NEW] RONALDINHO - The king of A.C. Milan

My favourite player of all time, so if he did sign, I'd run out and buy every kit we have with his name on the back, including the goalkeepers!

People think he's fallen off but he's still scoring goals for a Milan team who are top of Serie A (If I'm not mistaken)
Would love to see him on the left for us.

Nice article to put a smile on my face but unlikely.

Doesn't stop us from dreaming now does it?

Dreaming about fat, over-the-hill, lazy cunts who can't run?

Fuck off you fat, lazy, buck-toothed cunt
that's a pretty sweeping statement, who is that directed to?

If someone told NESV to draw up a list of all the attributes a player they didn't want to sign, Ronaldinho would be a perfect match.

Old, crazy wages and no resale value. Won't happen.

I'd love to have such a naturally talented player playing for us.
He isn't as good as he use to be but he's still good and better then any other attacking midfielder we have for creativity which we need.

When did they say they wouldn't sign old players?
If he doesn't cost much then resale value won't be a problem.
And how do you know his wage demands?

His demands will be a list of brothels, restaurants, late-drinking establishments and places that play Samba music until 5am.

Well, it is a slightly better dream than the more probable Carlton Cole scenario!!
