mean while, back in the real world:
Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra is set for a return to England in January.
AS says Real are eager to offload the France international.
The 25-year-old former Arsenal, Chelsea and Portsmouth midfielder has started only three league games this season and will not sit on the bench forever.
Liverpool and Tottenham would be keen to take Diarra on loan with a view to buy at the end of the season, while Aston Villa and Manchester United are also watching developments.
last match I saw him was when he came on against Barca, I thought he was one of the better players, would be a decent signing.
ronaldinho can f off, shit, old, unfit and unlikely to cope with the league - only on a free with low wages should it even be remotely considered

he's a real gypsy player, that diarra, isn't he? that doesn't fill me with confidence, but could clearly be a good buy at the right price.
as for ronaldinho...how fat is he at the moment? the only logic i could possibly see in it is if we could get him on a short-term contract with him responding to the challenge and actually trying for 6 months or so. he's trouble in the long run, but it's conceivable that a fired-up ronaldinho could make the difference between us getting 4th or not. plus,
it'd just be cool.

This here is what his signing would be all about.

I pretty much agree.
It would be a rather fun signing and as Peter says could we get him on a short, none-insane, performance-based contract he'd perhaps be worth a long shot. He's not that old after all.
And Lucas wouldn't mind running twice as much to accomodate Ronaldinho I'm sure.
Ronaldinho, Lucas, Babelinho.. sky's the limit!!
