Roma fans

Asking for a friend who's travelled - where do Liverpool fans plan to gather/meet in Rome before the game.
Any specific part of the city? Any specific bars?

Someone says Trevi is the area for reds. Sounds a little strange, but then again an area with lots of tourists and police might be a good call.

Just don't wear a fucking Liverpool kit or a scarf etc and it's all good.

I'm hearing stories from other clubs who have been in Italy recently of supporters in small groups with no colours being set upon outside cafes in Italy because they're male and speaking English. They all say, stay in large groups as much as is possible.

In all seriousness Insig, stay in big groups of reds, and respect advice.

Is it because I is Black??

Yeah we will behave mate. Quite a few Norwegians down there already. 1st of May is totally off in Norway so those who is not working in the garden or preparering their boat for the summer is on their way!! Interesting trainride through this country. From Turin via Milan, Bologna and Firenze to Rome. Normally one should take some days and enjoy the wines of Piemonte, the shopping of Milan, food of Bologna and history of Firenze. But this time we sacrify everything on the altar of no 6!!!

I wouldn't be arsed cos I'm unbelievably solid.

Exactly. The doc should know...
I'm not sure if you get stabbed our Doc is the type of Doc you want to go to. Not unless Chaucer has written extensively on emergency bleeding control in The Canterbury Tales.

You've got the humours with a dose of the lurgey! Better bath your balls in the light of the new moon while drinking some leeches.

Here, take this pamphlet home with you and give it a read.

That stuff will stand you in good stead. I mean why do we not have barber surgeons anymore? Get a trim of hair and beard and an infected foot removed in the same handy location.

Obviously a pr person wrote that letter but it's a lovely touch.

As for Rome, no club colors and keep chat to the minimum.

Radio silence lads, fly low and for goodness sake keep your lights off!

Has this always been the case with Roma fans? I know they have a penchant for the ol' arse stabbing (ding dong), but I don't remember all this furore when we played them 15 years ago or whatever. Nor do I remember anything being said about Chelsea fans going over there this year. That's probably because Chelsea have no fans, but still.

There are positive stories too:

This kind of reminds me of a personal experience – dining at a restaurant in Bologna that happened to be run by a Roma fan. Inside it was like a temple devoted to the cult of Totti, his signed shirt, book and other memorabilia were displayed on some kind of altar in the center of the place, I've never seen anything like this. The food was great, even by Italian standards, and the owner/chef couldn't be nicer, even gave me a souvenir for good luck. Let's hope there are far more of these kinds of fans than the lowlives with the hammers and belts.
