Pascoe is Rodgers' right-hand man, and first-team coach. Driscoll is conditioning expert, and Davies is a highly-rated young match analyst.

Where in the fuck do they find the blerts they always interview outside Anfield.
Ive been to Liverpool a million times and got many many good friends from there and never have i come across such cleft paleted droogs as these.
'Eeeeeem yeah yeah eeeem he knows mooooreeeno so eeeeem give im taaam give im taaam'

Fuckin heeel.

Match analyst good lord

Villas Boas was Mourinhos analyst before leaving him at inter to go into management. If he's bringing an analyst with him it must mean he thinks highly of him. I wouldnt worry about it. Pasco being Clarkes replacement is my main worry.

Aside from Keen, whom I don't know, the coaching staff seems excellent and one would have thought he'd show them enough respect to at least look at the set up and talk to them before bombing anyone out. No one would have been impressed if Kenny had brought in Pascoe instead of Clarke. It wouldn't be a positive move now.

well that wouldn't be conceding would it.

Depends which way you look at it.. Media sensationalism springs to mind

I cannot believe for one minute we would appoint Rodgers without appointing someone upstairs with extensive knowledge of the game to oversee matters of importance.. There is no way the board will make the same mistake twice as they did with Kenny..

A Sporting & Technical director will be in place...

I understand #LFC will also be taking three key members of Swansea's backroom staff. They are Colin Pascoe, Chris Davies and Glen Driscoll.

Assistant manager - Colin Pascoe

Bridgend-born Pascoe racked up almost 500 league and cup appearances in his playing career, which included two stints at the Swans along with Sunderland and Blackpool.

Made his debut while an apprentice at Vetch Field - against Brighton in the First Division in 1983. Won his full debut on his 18th birthday against Liverpool at Anfield, and went on to make 346 appearances (73 goals) for the Swans - including a successful Fourth Division promotion campaign in 1987-88 - before making the long trip to Third Division Sunderland where he enjoyed another promotion campaign that same season.

He spent five years in the north east before he rejoined the Swans on a loan spell which later was turned permanent.

His time back at the Swans saw him play a massive part in the club's Autoglass Trophy success at Wembley in 1994, but two years later joined Blackpool under Sam Allardyce.

He returned to live in Port Talbot and joined Merthy Tydfil, after a brief spell in Hong Kong with FC Golden, before coaching spells at Carmarthen, Cardiff City and Port Talbot.

Returned to the Swans - and their new home at the Liberty Stadium - on a part-time coaching basis under Kenny Jackett before turning full-time.

Pascoe, who won ten Wales caps, worked under Roberto Martinez and Paulo Sousa before being promoted to assistant-manager following Brendan Rodgers's arrival.

Head Match Analyst - Chris Davies

Chris Davies joined the Swans coaching staff last season as the club's new match analyst.

He was Reading's youth captain under Brendan Rodgers while they were at the Madejski Stadium together, and jumped at the chance of working with him again.

Played at under-17s, 18 and 19 level for Wales before opting to study Sports and Exercise Science at Loughborough University.

After completing the course, he spent three years in New Zealand with Hawkes Bay United under former Wales boss Bobby Gould.

But with Brendan heading to the Liberty Stadium, Davies was on his way back to Britain to reunite with his former boss.

Filling the void left by Nelson Jardim's departure to Leicester City, Davies is responsibe for supplying the Swans with all the match stats and info on future opponents.

He made a successful start to life at the Liberty as the club secured promotion to the Premier League.

Performance Consultant - Glen Driscoll

Swansea City have added the experienced Glen Driscoll to their backroom team as a Performance Consultant.

Driscoll recently left Chelsea after 10 years at Stamford Bridge where he worked under managers Jose Mourinho, Avram Grant, Luiz Felipe Scolari, Guus Hiddink and Carlo Ancelotti.

The 36-year-old will oversee and support the medical and performance departments at the club until further notice in a bid to help the Swans maintain their Premier League status and build on their success over recent years.

His arrival at the Liberty Stadium was described as a "coup" by Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers.

"He's got a great background and tremendous experience and expertise,'' declared Brendan. "He is unique in the fact that he is a specialist in both medical and physical conditioning.

"His expertise will help both departments of the club and his arrival is a massive boost for us.''

Driscoll started his career alongside Brendan in the Reading Academy before being head-hunted by Chelsea just before the Mourinho era.

"It's funny how things work out,'' explained Driscoll, who is currently working hard to eliminate Garry Monk's long-standing back problem and overseeing the rehab programmes of Alan Tate and Ferrie Bodde.

"I worked with Brendan in the Academy structure at Reading and then found myself reunited with him at Stamford Bridge.''

Driscoll carried out a dual sports science and physiotherapy role with the Chelsea Academy, where the likes of Scott Sinclair was coming through the ranks.

He was quickly promoted to the senior ranks where he switched between first team physio and head of fitness as the various managers came and went.

But his 10-year association with the Blues came to an end when Andre Villas-Boas arrived in the summer and he replaced some of the old guard with his own men.

"Obviously it was disappointing to leave Chelsea after a decade, but that's football for you,'' added Driscoll. "But I'm proud of the fact that I played my part in Chelsea's most successful era."

Why would they sack someone who offered to resign two weeks ago

Maybe because they just asked him to stay until a new manager had been appointed? They couldn't know if a new manager would want him, although his reputation suggested a good new manager probably would want to keep him. Then again, stories of Colin Pascoe's brilliance hadn't quite reached Boston yet.

Performance Consultant - Glen Driscoll

BRENDAN Rodgers has added an old mate from Chelsea to his Swansea City backroom staff — and Garry Monk is already being treated like John Terry.

Glen Driscoll has arrived at the Liberty Stadium as Swansea's new performance consultant after a decade spent working with top managers and players at Stamford Bridge.

Rodgers believes Swansea have pulled off a major coup in recruiting Driscoll, who left Chelsea in the summer after new manager Andre Villas-Boas reshuffled the club's staff.

And Swansea skipper Monk is already reaping the rewards of Swansea's latest appointment.

"The gaffer's brought Glen in from Chelsea and he has been excellent with me," Monk said.

"He's had experience with top players. All the physios at Swansea have been great, but he has brought in a few new things and I felt much stronger at Wolves last Saturday than I have been feeling."

In one of his first acts since arriving at the Liberty, Driscoll has fitted Monk with a belt which supports his back in a bid to help him overcome a long-standing foot problem.

"Apparently John Terry had the same sort of injury as me — foot trouble because of the back," Monk added.

"My back is fine now, but the belt just tightens things up and gives you more support.

"It gives you a few more per cent of power.

"I think I'm the first person to wear a belt around a pair of football shorts, but if it works then great."

Driscoll worked with Rodgers in the Reading Academy before being head-hunted by Chelsea during Jose Mourinho's reign.

He went on to work under Avram Grant, Luiz Felipe Scolari, Guus Hiddink and Carlo Ancelotti.

"He has massive experience," Rodgers said.

"He was head of medical at Chelsea, but what is unique about Glen is that he also has a strong background in football conditioning.

"Initially he worked with the youth department at Chelsea, then he progressed up to overseeing the first-team medical department.

"When Avram Grant took over he moved Glen into the conditioning role and he was first-team conditioning coach under Guus Hiddink and Carlo Ancelotti.

"So we are getting someone who has experience in both fields and his role will be to look at performance outside the field.

"He can work in a couple of areas for us and he will be another great signing for this club."

Driscoll has not signed a fixed contract, and has instead been appointed "until further notice", Swansea say.

The 36-year-old's brief is to oversee and support the medical and performance departments of the club.

As well as assisting Monk, he is currently working on the rehabilitation programmes of Alan Tate and Ferrie Bodde.

"It's funny how things work out," Driscoll said.

"I worked with Brendan in the Academy structure at Reading and then found myself reunited with him at Stamford Bridge.

"Obviously it's disappointing to leave Chelsea after a decade, but that's football for you.

"And I'm proud of the fact that I played my part in Chelsea's most successful era."

Monk, meantime, believes he is edging ever closer to full fitness after his long-standing troubles.

"I just need to keep that run of games going," the central defender added.

"If I get four or five in a row then I will be much better.

"I don't think I look out of place or anything."

Maybe because they just asked him to stay until a new manager had been appointed? They couldn't know if a new manager would want him, although his reputation suggested a good new manager probably would want to keep him. Hadnt reached me either

Head Match Analyst - Chris Davies

FORMER Reading youth captain Chris Davies admitted he could not turn down the chance to be reunited with Brendan Rodgers after becoming Swansea City's match analyst.

Davies, a one-time Wales Under-19 international, switched to sports science after realising he would not make the grade as a Football League player.

He has spent time working under Bobby Gould with New Zealand club Hawkes Bay United, and was set to join another Championship club this summer until Rodgers took over at the Liberty.

"As soon as Brendan got the Swansea job I was straight on the phone to him," Davies revealed.

"He taught me my trade, not just as a player but also as a person.

"He taught all the young players life lessons as well.

"By that I mean how to conduct yourself in a professional and responsible manner off the pitch."

Davies says Rodgers is a joy to work for because he understands the benefits of sports science and match analysis.

"Believe me, there are still some real dinosaurs out there who would be the ultimate challenge to work for."

Davies, 25, takes over from Nelson Jardim, who followed Paulo Sousa to Leicester.
