Possibly, but sometimes teams in that situation breathe a sigh of relief and play their best football of the season. You never can tell until the day itself.
let's hope palace and norwich are safe come end of the season and nothing to play for. could be the difference?
Will West Ham be safe I wonder?
Probably not safe, but I'd guess under a lot less pressure.
Tbh looking at that I don't fancy our fixtures much. It's basically a combination of home games against the best teams and aways against relegation strugglers. I counted 3 you might expect fairly easy rides from, Swansea, Sunderland, and Newcastle.
The other 9 all look like real battles.
Playing a relegation candidate doesn't necessarily mean we'll have a tough game; in fact, the later in the season we get, the more they'll need to go for 3 points instead of 1, which plays into our hands I think. In seasons past, this might have been a problem for us, but since the second half of last season, our counter attacks have been deadly. Give us a gap at the back when you come forward and we'll show you a goal.
If you take away the three away games against the teams above us in the league then our form on the road isn't too shabby.
Won five, drawn four and lost one.
If we can keep our home form up I reckon we should minimum hit mid seventies, points wise and possibly even early eighties.
Not good enough to win a title but we could make third or even second.
We've averaged 2 points per game so far this season. If we maintain that we'll end up with 77 points. That looks about right to me. The interesting thing is what is going to happen to the teams around us. I really want Spurs to fuck off to fuck.

I'd still be surprised to be honest if this run lasts, we've looked far too brittle at times to be taking away games against minnows and home games against the rest, as a given for points. We're laughably inconsistent at the back so we can easily implode in any of the forthcoming games.
The improvement and progress has been immense though, there's no way any of us should lose sight of that, but the top four is now ours for the taking, if we fail to get there, then it only magnifies ours/Rodgers' Achilles heel, and where we need to improve in the Summer.
Of course, with that front three, Coutinho and Gerrard, we will always stand a chance of twatting anyone, though.
I think it is between those two for the left spot. I can't see them playing together.Agger and Sakho
Glen Jo back! I'm not sure I want that.
