I was asked the following question yesterday;

If you could only pick one, would you rather beat United next Sunday in the league or Blackburn in the cup reply?

Both isn't accepted as an answer btw. Which is it for you? Would it be, stay in the cup and hope we can claw back the points in the league at a later date or beat United?

*€10 goes to the Rosco new thread fund*.

I'm sure a good few will pick stay in Fa Cup as we've a chance to win it now.

I usually hate these hypothetical questions though.

United

Unless we can answer lose to united but still get top 4 and beat Blackburn

Absolutely crushing united. To make it worth it I insist that we win by a humiliating margin. A good 6-0 or something.

Difficult. Manure are a club (on the wane) and we are about trophies. We can't define ourselves by how well we do against them instead we should be about how many trophies we win.

I'd have asked him a similar question: would you prefer me to knee you in the nuts or stamp on your bare toes with a boot heel on a cold day on concrete?

That kinky bastard would probably enjoy the knee to the balls.

I would go for beating united.

'Rodgers Rogers' could be a great porno if they could find a doppelgänger for Rodgers who'd be willing to shag a load of women on camera.

Rodgers would watch it with Pascoe and Pascoe would be like, "Christ, that guy is your living image Boss".

And Rodgers would be like,

It's not about defining ourselves by how well we do against them, beating them could be a massive step towards top 4, which is unfortunately more important than the FA Cup for us right now.

Haha that Rodgers photo reminds me a lot of the pervy look Rick Mayall always pulled in bottom

Cup all day long.

A draw in the league and even a defeat and we can still catch them as their run in is very difficult.

Lose in the cup however and we have 3 seasons with Brodge and no trophies.

We do not need the media starting an Arsenal like pressure cooker about how we haven't won a trophy etc in years.

We badly need to win something to keep or players happy and show potential signing we are still a great option.

As compared with selling potential signings CL football?

Win lose or draw against Utd we will still be in the CL next season.

We aren't going to finish the season with 14 straight wins so losing Sunday won't be the end of the world.

We are due a loss.

If the question was CL football or FA Cup win then that would be different.

The question is not win one game in the league with 8 games after it make up 2-5 points vs lose a game and our last change at silverware again.
