Unreliable sources linking us with this 22-year-old Brazilian lad from TSG Hoffenheim. His contract runs till Jun 2015. Doing a search here, I think dmishra mentioned him in a post a couple of years back. Plays as an attacking mid / support striker.

11 goals and 8 assists in 21 league games thus far - 17 and 12 in 25 games if you include domestic cup games.

yep, yus, yu huh, your goddamn right we should get this here player, i keep thinking we need to buy a dm or cb but then i see links like this and i think we should just buy all these great attackers and win games scoring 8 and conceding 4

He was highly rated as a teenager. Haven't seen him at all since. But 17 goals and 12 assists in three-quarters of a season in Germany is pretty impressive.

Though again, I don't see the need when we have Coutinho in that position, and Suso, Alberto and Teixeira waiting in the wings.

I'd rather sign a winger and a striker than an attacking midfielder.

Sign them all!

Lars Bender at Leverkusen is someone else in Germany we are apparently looking at along with a couple of their other players, forgotton who they were, fuck knows how true it really is but our scouts were supposedly over there recently.

The Sami connection could only help us if we are sniffing around a player of theirs.

Looks more like a Suarez/Aguero type to me, rather than a number 10. Some depth in the striker role is really necessary.

I think Suso and Teixeira will actually start at the wide forward spots and if/when they prove their worth, move in to the central role in the later stages. So an AM doesn't really block them.

Getting someone in either position would work, as we've folks who're flexible enough to play in both positions (e.g. Coutinho, and I expect Suso and Teixeira). Incidentally, I was surprised to see Allen play predominantly down the left when he came on against Swansea, and he showed a burst of speed which I didn't think he had too. Did a good job too, so I'm wondering if that's another reinvention / extension surprise that Rodgers has lined up.

This off season will be interesting to watch.
