It’s also a little silly to laud two players as flopped when they are 4 months into 8 year contracts and one of them hasn’t kicked a ball yet.
What has them having 8 year contracts got to do with anything? For all we know they could both be out the door in the summer.
Keita and Ox were flops because neither of them were around to kick a ball.
Is it too early to laud Enzo and Mudryk as flops as well?
I still think under the right circumstances that Lazar Markovic could be a big player for Chelsea and be the goal scorer they so desperately need.
Being shite had something to do with it too.
MacAllister doesn’t seem to be suffering from one… The whole “curse” thing I think is basically going from a well-coached team to a less well-coached one.
This is where I’m a little surprised with Caicedo BTW - I thought he was the type who could thrive in any system, plug the holes in a dysfunctional team. But so far it doesn’t look like that at all - at Brighton he was asked to do specific things and excelled at them, but left to his own devices he seems lost and diminished in stature. Contrast it to Szobo, for instance, who also didn’t come into a well-drilled established midfield unit, but immediately understood what needed to be done to plug the holes game to game.

Absolutely. People signed with big fees should hit the ground running. I'm glad we both agree on that.
Why? We have a plethora of very talented young mids (plus Endo). What would you do with Gallagher? Put out the cones?

Reece James’ (4.5 years @ £250/week) wage liability means he won’t bring in enough to make it worth selling. Trevor Challobah, Levi Colwill and Broja probably don’t have sufficient market value

He hasnt been part of a winning league game since he posted on social media after their draw against us.
Yepp, lots of £'s to burn yet. 😀
So far they've paid him £15m to play a handful of games and keep their surgeon in cake. So, in comparison, paying £6.25M a year to Sarr so he can play on his Xbox seems a cracking deal
