........Match day thread.
Pre season kicks off tomorrow with a game against Tranmere tomorrow.
Probably little to be gleaned from it.
No Salah.

Jürgen Klopp has confirmed Mohamed Salah will not be available for Wednesday evening's pre-season friendly with Tranmere Rovers due to a short-term delay.

The summer signing from AS Roma needs to leave the United Kingdom and return again before he can begin his Reds career on the pitch, as is standard immigration procedure.
Salah should be in contention for selection again soon after, with his availability only temporarily impacted.
Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com: “Mo Salah is here in training but cannot play because of the rules, so that’s what we have to accept.
“We will try to get the working permission or the visa, I’m not sure what it is we need to get but we have to go to Paris and leave him there for a day or two and then he’ll come back.
“We are hopeful he can play soon.”

Maybe the point is that it's even less exciting than watching paint dry. You don't even get the slight satisfaction of seeing the paint getting drier.

Why didn't we know this about the immigration policy sooner and have it sorted before the game, if it's standard?

I for one am really looking forward to seeing Marko Grujic sliding on his knees in celebration like a fucking tool after scoring in another pre-season romp against some league 3 outfit.

He's in Paris today, so hopefully he can play against Wigan.

Am I missing anything about Moreno?

Guessing he's on his way out then. Same with Sakho. Joyce reported that Sakho wont be going on the Asia tour.

Edit: according to Liverpool.no, Moreno, Origi and Lovren are out with some minor muscle issues. Will be back soon.

What sort of cunt spends £15 for a pocket watch with a picture of an Eddie stobart lorry on it ?the lfc channel clearly isn't charging enough for its advertising slots if these cunts can afford a 5 minute advert about an Eddie stobart pocket watch

It's put me off watching the match , if pre season wasn't already killing that idea

Is it wrong of me to feel a little sorry for Sakho for not being given a 2nd/last chance?

Meanwhile, Liverpool U23s XI versus Rhyl: George; Whelan, Phillips, Masterson, Jones, Johnston; Coyle, Brannagan, Virtue; Gomes, Dhanda

subs: Firth, Parker, Williams, Kane, Camacho, Alves, Simmonds, Millar

Looks like Brannagan is quite low in the pecking order vs the likes of Kent and Ojo?

I still think back to that header at Anfield south against Barcelona. You don't score that without having something a bit special about you. I think without the injuries he may have ended the season close to a starter.

I really like Kent. He needs to be kept involved in the first team squad to give him a chance to impress.

Was a good goal though
