Thank GOD it isn't Webb. I'm sure I'm not going to like Dowd after this game either, but what the hell.

He always seems to be a bit Norman Wisdomesque, somehow does Dowd, but is probably one of the better "top" refs. *[size=6pt]stands by to be shot down with a load of examples as to why he isn't[/size]*

Well, it isn't as if he has much competition in terms of quality, Vlad. FWIW Dowd's struck me as a bit stand-offish with players at times, but that may have its advantages. Rugby refs talk to players all the time, but in that sport the players are mature enough to actually listen.

Doubt it'll make much difference either way in the end though. Riley's clearly on a mission to deliver no.19 to Ferguson on a silver platter.

Also in Rugby more of the players will speak the same language as the ref.
