Liverpool Football Club have agreed terms for the transfer of Javier Mascherano to FC Barcelona.

The Spanish club have now been given permission to speak to the Argentina midfielder.

From the offal.

See ya masher go join gob shite messi and the rest.
Permission to speak I thought he'd agreed terms days ago according to the press?

PS thanks for the good times!

No figures on the offal. We usually don't reveal our the figures so might have to rely on Barca releasing the figure.

I actually had some sympathy for his situation, he'd been promised he could go and this shoud have been sorted out months ago.

But even if he felt he had to do what he did against Citeh, it was a shitty thing to to do and it cost us.

So, thanks and all and fuck off.

i seem to keep pulling you up on things recently, so sorry about that, but honestly i can't see how the guy deserves any sympathy whatsoever. what he did was unforgivable, and i don't see how it could have been our responsibilty to go knocking on barca's door to arrange his transfer - really likely to guarantee a nice fee, that.

we kept up our side of the deal - that he could leave as soon as we received an acceptable offer - and he should have respected our position just as we respected his.

Fuck off. Hope we have time to sign a proper replacement.

BTW: This most probably means that Zlatan is gone (to Milan).

gutted about this - not only do i think he is a great player but im really pissed off with the way he has behaved in recent weeks..

Mascher - Good luck and i hope you realise what a dick youve been leaving this club.

I don't care who the fuck you are, if you are getting paid 80k a week to do a job then your 'feelings' don't fucking matter, you do your fucking job. I do wish he had gone to Inter though, as I actually like/d Barca, still never mind.

Bye Masch, hope you and your slag have a looovvellly time in Spain :🙂

I 'had' sympathy, and we should also remember that he gave his all for us last year even though he wanted to be somewhere else.

But he hurt us, and for that he can rightly fuck off.

Yup, for one game he lost all the goodwill. If he had played, patient for the deal to be struck, he could have left with heads held high.

Ah fuck.

Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuckety fuck fuck.

I was convinced he would go, but kept lying to myself that no deal would be arranged & he'd be forced to stay.

Now if we lose Stevie through injury we have one of the worst central midfields in the top half of the league.

SHITE!

with the money all spent we will be a better team without him

Roy, over to you spend it wisely

16m + 6m in add ons

Not enough in my opinion. But our hands are tied a little.
[/quote]

awful if true. should've been at least £20m guaranteed, with further add-ons.

but like you say, we were in a terrible negotiating position with him on strike and his contract running down. i'm a bit worried how much of this roy's going to see as well - if they deduct the £5m spent on poulsen from the £16m...doesn't leave a lot for squad buiding.

i reckon we'll sign konchesky and that toivonen bloke and that'll be it. grim.

SSN reading out comments from fans: " It's best for the club that he goes now, he doesn't want to play so he had to go. I just wish he'd take Lucas with him"

Speculation. The real fee has not been revealed.
Btw it's €16 million (£13m), with a further €6 million (£5m).

That's not anywhere close to our supposed valuation.
I'm guessing that the fee is around £20 Million.

16M is appalling. Less than we paid for him. I really hope that's not true, although I suppose it doesn't really matter given that we've already signed Poulsen as his replacement and won't be investing much beyond that.

Some reports say that a 16m pound bid was rejected last weekend and that the agreed bid is 'believed to be closer to the 25m GBP valuation'.
