Good stuff, was reported Skrtel's agent was in his ear trying to persuade to him to leave.
Certainly died down a bit now, lets hope it remains that way.
Rule 18.07 states that if a player features in the first, second or third qualifying rounds of either the Champions League or Europa League, he can play for another club in either competition from the group stages onwards, provided his former employers do not reach the group stages themselves.
If a player is involved in any of the aforementioned qualifying rounds for a side which then goes on to play in the group stages of either UEFA competition, he is not eligible to play for another club in Europe in that season.
hope we still get another winger or striker though, but it looks like the last signing will be sahin, or maybe no-one if we dont get him. We'll still have a good squad though, suarez-borini-downing, sterling-carrol-erm, ok one more winger/wing forward and then we'll be sorted

I said in one of the other threads... Dempsey would have covered the wide striker role(s) and Gerrard's position, interest in Tello AND Sahin sugggested opting for two players to cover those positions (or rather, Sahin to add a number in midfield and perhaps Shelvey to cover Gerrard).
So maybe it's a case of Assaidi and Sahin instead of Dempsey.
The important thing is that they are given the time as you mention.
