I just got back from playing footy ... I was expecting a 6/8-0 shellacking so I'm not surprised by the scoreline.

Yeah, but if it's like forcing it doesn't help. Look at what Real are doing, playing it short, biding their time. We went gung ho from the start and it has cost us.
If you're going to play this way you need to have better players than the opposition.
1st goal : class play.
2nd goal : brilliant header, simply didn't think he could score from there.
3rd goal : WTF Ming.
No-one is playing really poorly, a mistake here and there (Ming aside), but RM are just that good. Passing and pressing superb and finishing tip top class. That and we don't have a goal-threat without Sturridge.

First goal was class, as someone already said. We don't have that up front just now - simple as.
Second goal was pathetic. It was high, hanging and in the six yard area - should have been a commanding keepers all day long.
Third goal - pathetic would be a compliment. Ming got nowhere near it and didn't have the balls to get down and cover it - he tried to fall down in front and block when it just needed some courage to dive on it.
Johnson, Sterling, Coutinho have been really good.
Henderson, Gerrard, Moreno have been ok. I'd have included Mario in that if it hadn't been for his failure to pass in the first 90 seconds.
The rest have been average with the exception of Ming who's been terrible.
We've been playing without a striker for weeks.
