I spotted Modo over there once.

He was busy having a heated argument over how to pronounce Assaidi.

If you spot someone you "know" over there, what's the protocol? Do you acknowledge their presence, or do you pretend like you haven't seen them. Like spotting a work colleague in a gay bar?

Sounds good. I was following a match thread on here a couple of weeks ago and not one single poster in the thread mentioned we had actually scored a goal already.

We tend to talk about the bits around the big moments more than the big moments.

I use them to bitch about commentators, bring up random shite I notice & take things off topic a lot.

Kinda what I do in every thread, actually.

You just nod at your phone or laptop screen, safe in the knowledge they've just done the same.
