5 is probably to much for Wisdom.
He was utter wank for most of the game.
The rest bout right but maybe a 6 for Sterling.

Johnson was dogshit. Ibe and Alberto weren't much better.

Henderson and Sturridge were Excellent.

I'm so fucked off about Toure it's untrue. What are we gonna do Sunday?

Those are generous ratings considered we were taken to extra time by a bottom of the table League One side.

No one except Sturridge, Toure, Henderson and Coutinho deserve anything above 5.

Sterling maybe a 6 as well. He was poor after his goal until he moved to RB. But, he played well at the end when we need him too and his goal was well-taken.

The rest of the team - 3-4 Max.

These 6 and 7 ratings for Allen have to be a piss-take. He was shite, again.

I really can't warm to him. He plays like he actually is the 'Welsh Xavi''

Down with this sort of thing!!!

We were winning when he was on

So shush

Allen was better but he didn't actually *do* anything

I'm so pissed off with these injuries and that STUDGE and Stevie had to play 120 mins.

Gloomy

He did do very well laying Sturridge in where he should have got it back for a simple tap in.

I think this had all the makings of a terrible result for us - should have been 15-0, we let them in and they got their breaks and could have really shaken this team up. Instead, we fight back with 10 men and win. I think the ratings are fair - footy isn't played on paper, shitty teams beat good teams regularly ...

time to beat dem mancs

Completely agree. It was good win and a terrible performance. That has to build confidence. I think we will need a better performance against Man U. And, we really need to find a way to deny RVP the ball. Not sure Agger and Skittles will be able to handle him when he has it.

Ratings from Goal.com

3/5 - Simon Mignolet
Had little trouble in keeping out an early strike from Joss Labadie but enjoyed an otherwise incredibly comfortable first half. Could arguably do very little about the goals.

N/A - Aly Cissokho N/A
Saw his first start in a Liverpool shirt ruined as he picked up an injury after just a few minutes.

2/5 - Andre Wisdom - Flop of the Match
Started the game at centre-half but was forced to right-back by Aly Cissokho's injury. You sense that Brendan Rodgers might have to preferred to see him in the middle, especially when he was arguably beaten too easily to the ball by Yoann Arquin for a goal. Struggled with his passing from that point onward.

3/5 - Glen Johnson
Moved over to left-back following Cissokho's withdrawal. Posed the usual attacking threat but did little of note.

3.5/5 - Kolo Toure
The Ivorian has proved a revelation for Liverpool at this early stage of the season and was imposing in the air yet again against a physical threat which would could have tested him. Forced off by a worrying groin injury in extra time.

3.5/5 - Joe Allen
Has struggled to dislodge Jordan Henderson from Liverpool's midfield in the league but showed his worth with an intelligent performance. Recovered the ball on numerous occasions, passed it well and even showed his dribbling ability early in the first half. Forced off by injury in the second period.

2.5/5 - Jordon Ibe
The 17-year-old put in some outstanding performances in pre-season for Liverpool and had been considered as a threat to Raheem Sterling's status as the club's brightest prospect. Endured a frustrating evening, though, with few things coming off for him. Kept working hard either way.

3.5/5 - Raheem Sterling
The young winger appears to have benefited greatly from having been somewhat thrown in at the deep end last term. Never let the opposition defence have a moment's peace and took his goal brilliantly. Noticeably tired late into the second half but had to remain on the pitch for extra time.

3.5/5 - Steven Gerrard
Controlled the game from a deep position and even threw in a few trademark runs into the box. Had Notts County not scored their goal, you feel that Rodgers would have withdrawn him much earlier.

4/5 - Daniel Sturridge - Top of the Match
The former Chelsea man is arguably the most in-form forward in the country and continued his hot streak with a well-hit effort from the edge of the box. Showed great willingess to hold the ball up for team-mates and, despite looking tired, got a match-winning goal in extra-time.

2.5/5 - Luis Alberto
Struggled to find his passing rhythm and often looked a gear slower than his pacier attacking colleagues. Will have learnt a lot from his first English cup tie.

Substitutions

3.5/5 - Daniel Agger
Thrown in following Aly Cissokho's injury but looked ready and willing. Did well against physical opponents and looked as unerring as ever on the ball.

3/5 - Jordan Henderson
Brought legs to a midfield whose energy levels appeared to drop off a cliff in the second half. Could not prevent Notts County finding a way back in, but ended the game with a brilliant run and finish in extra time.

3/5 - Coutinho
Showed the measure of Rodgers's desperation to see off the visitors but was frustrated in his attempts to unlock the opposing defence.
