Buying a top quality midfielder who can shield defence, shore up the gaps and compliment the likes of Gerrard and Ming is vital, because it would mean we didn't need to play The Cunt, Crapsen, or Spearo.

Having a class CM would actually FREE up another position in the team, because at the moment we have to play The Cunt with another player next to him.

Yeah, I was thinking today that what we really need is the 2011 versions of Sami and Didi: a dominant CB and a clever, composed DM. If we'd had those two in our side today (and at Blackpool on Wednesday) we would have kept control of the game and won.

Kudos if he tried to play if he was sick though.

And I hope it's his stomach and not him breaking something.

The thing is: it's always something! You name a injury- he's had it.
Fucking hell how frustrating.

I understand why people's frustrated with Agger's bad injury record, I am too, but I don't quite understand the seething in here with regards to yesterday.

Any player who despite beeing ill with a stomach-bug plays a full 90 minutes in midweek and then the first 45 minutes four days later, even though he was almost shitting himself (doing a Lineker if you like), should earn a little respect instead of the opposite I would've thought. (And I don't think Kenny is lying about Agger's illness to be honest, why would he)?

Personally I don't think we would've lost the game having Agger available for the full 90 minutes however, and that's why it's ever to frustrating with all these start/stops on his behalf. Hopefully he'll get well soon and stay fit beacuse it's blindingly obvious (even for his biggest detractors) how much we need him, especially when Carra's away.
