Well if they're that fed up, why don't they hand over the ownership/payment of it to someone else?

I'm sure there are people that would take it over happily and make a decent fist of it (not to say they current owners aren't or anything) but if they're that fed up, as we continually keep hearing, but still want to see the site do well, then let someone else do it.

There are plenty of people I'd happily see running the ship that spend everyday on here (Ken, Vlad, Macca, etc etc)...

Might do the site the world of good.
 
Oh, and anyone who continues to argue that Rage and Rashid were banned for being anti-Rafa and it was wholly unfair is being an argumentative fuck.

Well, I'm not sure that advancing our politics would help. So, I think an atmosphere of tolerance would be nice. And ban any fucker who disagrees.

In regards to this thread and the treatment Rash got on the first page I agree wholeheartedly. His thread opener was reasonable and he got jumped bad. I'm not arguing his merits as a poster but he got attacked for no reason.
 
It seems he got attacked for nothing on this thread. However, consider what would happen if Kanwar came on here and started a seemingly harmless thread. Would he be given lenience? Should he be? Considering his past conduct here and elsewhere?

No. And Rashid isn't much different. If someone goes round internet forums acting like a twat trying to cultivate a reputation as controversial and outspoken then any abuse they get is brought on themselves quite frankly.
 
How much does it cost the mods to keep this place up for a year?

Personally, I think Rashid got treated harshly. It was a fair enough post with non-offensive content.

Although, everyone just needs to take a step back,chillax and remember that this is a football forum.
 
Just to state that I have no problems with the mods doing what it takes to make this place run smoothly. It's the way that everyone else treats certain posters that I find a bit grating.

Just read all this for the first time, and a couple of things I'd like to say(without drama).
Firstly i'm NEVER going to stop paying for and supporting this site, and I know for a fact that FFF and Nessy won't either, so there will always be a scm as far as I'm concerned, regardless of Loki's thoughts.
If any of the owners wanted to leave, we would find another one who wanted to be a co owner/mod as we have in the past.
The drama of a month or two ago won't be repeated as far as I'm concerned as we just won't let it. If we feel a poster is ruining the place for everyone else we'll sack them off. End of fucking story.

I'm not looking for sympathy when I say this, because I'm quite chuffed to be a co owner here, but modding it is a bit of a poisoned chalice, as you can never find total agreement. Rash stays macca, stu, sumo and others fuck off or get fucked off, rash goes and loki and a bunch of others say we are ruining this fucker. So it's a bollocks, and the 'putting it to the group' thing doesn't work as evidenced, so we shan't bother. We'll make the best choices we can for the forum and quite frankly everyone can like it or lump it.
That's the rub, there it is. We will make decisions you may not like in future, and you can make your choice as to wether or not were still the site for you.

I think that's the most encouraging mod post in ages.

Most of the problem has been people saying there is a problem and others jumping on the bandwagon, and it's stirred into a crisis which never existed. I can understand mods/owners being more sensitive to constant fights and shit because it's their project/baby, whatever. But as for the rest of us, just get on with it I say.

We've booted a proven nut-job. Big fucking deal.
