If people on here think the mudslinging and handbags are bad, you should check out sherdog.com. It's a mixed martial arts forum that makes this place look like Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. Brendan doesn't have enough vitriol for that site. And I've learned the putdown term "nuthugger" as well.

I didn't really think Rashid had done anything that bad this time and I thought people were attacking him ad hominem despite his posts not being that bad or ill-thought. I don't really care that he's gone though. I had more sympathy for Rage, if anything.

Well I certainly am not, & I know Andy definitely isnt, the other lads have gotten pissed off/are pissed off with the way the site is at the moment & said as much, but that doesnt translate to not funding it any more by any means.

We're all paid up till about July anyway that's for sure!

I haven't spoken to any of the owners by the way and my opinions were based on a gut feeling but the fact 7 out of 9 of them are pissed off with the place....well, it speaks for itself.

Since we actually have a decent ignore function now I don't see the need for macca or anyone else for that matter to swan off so dramatically because of their dislike of another poster.

It's not a perfect system, but I can certainly attest as to its usefulness.

The site started with those who left Koptalk. A fairly sized hardcore. But many of those have left and aren't being replaced. Anyone new who signs up is hounded. Dossena is a prime example. Jumped on for being Ardja even though he'd done absolutely fuck all to warrant the accusations. Maybe he was. Who knows? But for me you give people the benefit of the doubt until they step out of line. Rage. A pain in the arse but just because he didn't fit in, he was booted. Rashid another pain in the arse but still only booted because the mob moaned.

If you don't like someone or don't agree then just ignore them. Why the dozens of PM's to the owners to have them banned?

I'm a bit dubious of the claim of "dozens" of pm's getting sent to the owners.

6CM aint that kinda place. It's pretty bare knuckle around here and any poster must learn to have pretty tough skin if they survive the inevitable induction.

The only thing that's ever made me feel like I want to leave this site is having to constantly hear how miserable everyone is and the continued implication that we're only still here by the good graces of the mods, something that is likely to change if we don't sort ourselves out.

Don't we all have enough drama in real life? I remember Gene making some comment about someone using his real life as escapism from the forum and funny as it was, it's also kinda sad.
 
Rashid is a cunt and cannot reasonably expect to be tolerated on an internet forum just as you cant stand at the side of a public baths and take a piss in it before you swim.

Its not the admins being cunts by banning him its Rashid himself being a cunt and hence getting banned.

My first ever posts on here ended up telling ardja to go f~ck his mum or somesuch he wound me up that much, sheiky sent me a highly politically correct warning about not insulting peoples mums and i left... but i was right... ardja WAS a cunt and it is possible t deserve a banning.

but there's plenty of people here who are seasoned posters who wind people up and a one track agenda. Picking on the new guys is hardly helping is it? Rash may have been a cock but ffs the website is going to hell and we can't scare off every new poster because you don't agree. The ignore function was demanded of sunny and he delievered, yet you wouldn't think people fucking used it. No wonder patient lads are giving up being mods and deciding to take hiatus'.
 
This is exactly the same issue that we had with Rage, it's not about opinion, everyone is entitled to take whatever slant they want to take, it breeds discussion and debate. But Rage/Rashid offer nothing in that way, they post and make the same repeated point every time, they try to stick to the subject but can't resist putting the same (sometimes irrelevant) point in there. You can't even reason or tackle their point, because they take such a blinkered, biased, stubborn stance with no room for debate or justification. It's pointless and it just ruins threads because people get dragged into it, Rashid provokes and people bite and good threads and good posters are brought down because of it.

That said, I wouldn't stop posting because of another poster. Lets remember aswell, one of the main reasons the forum is so 'down' is because of results, that in itself sparks frustration and argument. When you walk through a storm eh? The mods as ever are doing a difficult job and they're doing it as well as any one can, it's hard to draw lines, especially when you want the forum to be so open.

Only problem with that is that rage in the football forum was a cock, however in the other forums he was actually reasonable and enjoyable reading material. Are we now at the point where we base everything on the football forum? Because there are some posters who piss me off with their agendas against the yanks and blaming them for everything, The people who blame lucas for every lost game and the people who rue our selling of players about 4 years ago.

How can you split it? At the end of the day, the football forum is the site, the rest branch off that. Initially we were all here because of the football, it created a community and we could then branch off from that and talk about other stuff. I know some posters just stick to GC or the Music forum, but by and large when I think of a poster I think of their football views. You can't say, well it's ok they can stay because they're ok in General Chat, while in the main forum their acting like a cock permanently.

I agree with Fabio, although, I couldn't get a black coffee in the kiosk before the game and the coke had run out, you would have thought the yanks would have got that sorted by now. Has anyone got any stats for how often we have lost with Fucking Lucas in the side , it must be every game he plays in we lose, if only we did not get rid of Didi and Ronnie Whelan , we would not be in this situation and who the fuck decided to get shut of Crouchie and Bellers .....................oops

I had rage on ignore because he couldn't stop, i didnt know until now that he had been banned because i dont come on that often and its been a miserable season generally and it gets proper grumpy on here at the best of times. I myself have bleated on and on many times about stuff also but its when its every post it gets pointless. Glock is a complete dickhead in my opinion and i have him on ignore also, but at least he tries ( and fails IMO) to be funny and is therefore tolerated by the mods. The truth is some peoples reason for coming onto forums like this is not to discuss or listen or chat even they come on in order to be cunts and get the thrill out of being hated, Rashid was one of them and he got banned for it. Having a whinge at macca for spitting the dummy misses the point, macca is a normal person not on a lifelong wind up merchant wereas Rashid and his kind of poster are complete fucking whoppers who are only on the board in order be just that.

Marks right its fractious on here because we are shit at the minute and people are snarling at each other but the difference is that if we were top of the league and romping away brushing all aside Rage and Rashid and their ilk would still be making shitty wind up posts which serve only one purpose, their own twisted sense of enjoyment.

Seriously, Lucas is hated much more on here than any other forum. Morses MoM poll & running total should bear that out.

6CM needs to make a decision. Total Free for All, or Strong Modding.

The current 'gentle modding' isn't working as some people carry on as before therefore make it redundant.

So, total free for all will result in fewer new members, plus the usual twats reregistering. Heavy modding will result in some of the regular posters being sin-binned. Neither is particularly palletable, but we need to find a solution.

Regarding posters with multiple identities to avoid bans, just ban thier IP's email address's & everything. If they get back in, leave em alone til they fuck up. They always do.

On KT I always thought that BrendanJ, Piedro and Ryan got away with a lot that was against the supposed rules. It's like bringing up kids really. If you have rules, enforce them. Or don't bother complaining when they won't go to bed.
 
Rage and Rashid didnt like Rafa and were expressing it in an extreme way.

Rafa's extremely methodical, robotic, over cautious, stubborn, provocative methods bring extreme answers sometimes.
I can understand Rashid's ban, Rage's was just ridiculous. There are double standards on this site but I dont care really.
At the end of the day its just football, an internet forum and some people are taking all of this too seriously.
If you dont like a poster, just ignore him. Thats not that difficult
