So basically people would rather be proved right over the internet rather than see Chelsea crash and burn.
Most intelligent fans me bollix.
Wish the post Istanbul generation would kindly fuck off and support Barcelona or summit.

Don't think anyone wants that at all.

I'd just like to see him get a bit of a respect from people for his abilities as a manager but unfortunately it'll have to be at Chelsea(if he does well that is).

Ideally, it would have been at a QPR or the likes...but him going to Chelsea is a real sickner.

He's lost a lot of respect today when he signed a contract with those scummy cunts.

No he hasn't - Don't be silly. He can do what the fuck he wants. He's not LFC manager so who gives a toss? He gave us a lot of good times but look back to GK's quote and you have my feelings.

It's a Job at one of the big Clubs in the Premier League and he'll be working with some world class players. You can't blame him for taking it.

It's disappointing and worrying but i think it's harsh to have a go at Rafa for taking the Chelsea job.

Maybe losing respect was the incorrect way of putting it,probably more tarnishing his reputation with the fans.
Either way I'm convinced it's going to become pure pantomime from now to May.

Ha Moron if he wins everything you really think he'll leave? It's a lose lose situation for Rafa/Liverpool fans and in this case any fans loyalties must lie with us so I hope he stays there for years almost getting it right.

And why the fuck are people of if Chavski win it stops the scum? The same happens with City, I know they're still mancs but they're also the lesser of three evils.

From Rawk:
---------------------------------------
Gutted. Football these days is shit, utter fucking shit. I'm so close to calling it a day
----------------------------------------

About 70% of them want him to do well. The other 30% seem quite normal.

No offence to anyone on here who double dates with RAWK, but virtually everyone on that site is a hysterical, sanctimonious, bent bell end.

Now you're just being confrontational.

It's on us to become a better team and beat the best teams in the league. We can't just sit around and be miserable about Man U, Arsenal and Chelsea getting stronger. Man C just came out of nowhere and won the league. Tottenham gradually became better than us as well.

What you are doing right now is perpetuating the stereotype that we're all bitter and giving other teams fans reading this forum a good laugh.

Yes, Man City came out of nowhere ... 400 million odd pounds of investment, but they cameo out of nowhere. Wish we could come out nowhere too! 😉

I'm not perpetuating any stereotype - I hate Chelsea. They're a disgusting football team with no soul whatsoever, who've only won because the massive investment Roman has made. Bitter? Who's bitter? You're going to call me bitter because I hate the Mancs too? Stop being a righteous prick and realize you are HOPING our rival do well because they've hired a manager you love.

I hope they ask Rafa about Luis Garcia's 'ghost goal' now! Or we'll see how he responds with the next time his fans do what they did in the FA Cup Final last year ... Bitter too? Yah, didn't think so. It seems you're putting your allegiance to a manager over your allegiance to the club.

This is a very interesting development, though not wholly unpredictable. He's not ready to be done with football at all, and he made the calculation he need not take a club lower down, and ultimately he was right. Getting him on this short a contract is absolutely ideal for Chelsea's purposes.

The least interesting part of this is what the most idiotic people on RAWK that you could find think about it, so I don't know why anyone is wasting any time railing against them.

apparently a few chelsea fans are planning on walking out against city on 16 mins (Di Matteo's shirt number ) . I wonder if they'll go ahead with it if they're a few early goals up .

It will be interesting to see how Roman handles the abuse he'll get if Rafa doesn't get off to a flyer . He hasn't really had much before , can't imagine he'll like it .

Interestingly it would seem that a reasonable large percentage of Liverpool and Chelsea supporters see Benitez as a Liverpool man and consequently are unhappy. It's quite uncommon particularly given that the manager is not going from one team to the other directly.

It's a shame how Rafa's career has panned out really. At one point he was one of the top managers in Europe and touted for jobs at Real Madrid and the like. Now he appears to be washed up and in need of redemption. I'm not sure he'll get it at Chelsea. I hope he doesn't. Chelsea and it's fans already got far more than they deserved last season.

My biggest fear in all this is if Rafa starts doing well and also gets torres playing well . Apart from watching them cunts win , it will be intolerable listening to our "fans" banging on about it and how it's a disgrace he's not managing us , sack Ayre , fuck off yanks etc etc .

I've never understood how Rafa FC became bigger than Liverpool FC for so many .

And i won't lie, for that reason i find it hard to acknowledge the good he did for us and hope he falls flat on his arse there .

I have great memories of his time in charge but we have moved on and now so has he. We need to look forward and support Brendan Rodger's not wallow in misery about us being a better team 7 years ago.

I don't care if he does well, or if Torres does well. In 2-3 years, they'll be looking up at us anyways!

Besides that, and your last sentence, I agreed with the bold part.

What's shocking is the amount of time this man has sat on his arse being unemployed after leaving us.
If he didn't take the Chelsea job someone needs to give him a huge one up the behind.

As for whether he does well for them. Who cares?
Wish him all the best or not but does it really bother if Chelsea win the league? It's not like we are competing with them for the league. It's one of Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea or Arsenal for the next 5 years or so. There's nothing we can do to stop it short of signing Roman Abramovich.

And Chelsea winning doesn't mean that we'd have done better if Rafa stayed either. Maybe it was a mistake. Maybe not. Onwards and upwards.

Our rivals like it or not are Everton Spurs and Newcastle.

I support Rafa not Chelsea. Im happy he got a job.
Whether he makes it or not, thats up to him. Im not suddenly going to start supporting that team.

You're contradicting yourself Modo - if you support him, you want him to do well. If you want him to do well, you are saying you want Chelsea to do well ...

Torn ... I sort of agree with Moron, and if we cant win the league then I woudl love Rafa to (and then return here to do it 5 more times), but I do love Rael too.

Torn between two lunatics :S

"I want rafa to do well but chelsea to do shit" is a Fucking ludicrous and impossible idea

Anyone wanting benitez to do well is admitting they hope chelsea are successful this season

It's pathetic
