Ross does go over the top with his Rafa criticism at times, but I do agree with the sentiment. If he came back to Liverpool, it would be more of the same shit that ultimately wouldn't be good enough. This Napoli side comfortably finished in the CL places every year, and he's taken them to fifth.

Indeed its getting to the point where we could all die before the club gets back to the top. I never signed up for that.
I don't undestand why so many are anti Benitez. It's pretty clear that he's going to Real Madrid so even if Rodgers goes the appointment of Benitez as his successor isn't going to happen so why revel in his misfortune.
Whilst he was with us he won some trophies and made us respected all around Europe. He also respected the values and ethos of the club and conducted himself well. I can't remember his personal life getting any negative headlines at all.
Whether you wanted him back at the club or not FSG have shown no indication that they would be interested in him so why do so many of you see him as some kind of threat? And since he's left us he hasn't bad mouthed us in the press.
It just seems a bit classless.

Rafa has taken Napoli from 2nd to 5th in 2 years while spending 110 mill. In Italy. Where most teams spend a potnoodle and a loaf of bread each summer on new players.

Benitez won 1 Italian cup and 1 Italian Supercup in 2 years.
They have had much worse managers than him.
Good on him. I've got nothing against him and loved him for most of his career at Anfield.
You'd expect them to finish in the top 4 with that investment though.
And you can see they've clearly gone backwards this season.
Yes they haven't been as good as in the last couple of years but my original point was about why some people seem to glory in him failing to win. Also credit to Lazio who have had an excellent season by comparison.
The list of clubs he's managed is quite impressive though. Obviously top clubs respect his achievements.
I wish Rafa nothing but the best. He was a very good manager while he was here and we had many great nights under him. I felt it was time for him to go and certainly don't want him back. It's not his fault we have largely been a shambles since he has left. Hope he does well at Madrid but don't expect him to last long.
I hope he belly flops Ramos and knocks the knobheads teeth out. I'll forgive him going to Chelsea if he does.
