Turns out there are a few hoops to jump through. We'd need a team of six (including one reserve), each of whom has to fill out and send in their own six-page application form (with photo) and all of whom would have to attend an audition with no guarantee that that would take place in the preferred location. Doesn't look like a practical proposition for such a scattered group as us TBH. Pity.
 
Come on Jules what kind of negative attitude is that? Bit of paperwork - that's no problem. And some will have to travel anyway so its probably best that the location is decided by someone else really!
 
I love Eggheads as well (although I'm shit at quizzes and would be no use to the team unless their was a round on one of my specific specialist subjects). Daphne is the best one, with her innocent smile and the ability to seemingly know everything about everything.
 
Took me an age with Phil Neal but at least I remembered him.


Did not remember Michael Robinson at all - his name never entered my mind. I'm still hard pressed to remember him doing much in a Liverpool shirt.

oh and Richey, the fact that you're only good on certain subjects is a bonus, surely? that's the whole point of Eggheads.

i'm surprisingly up for it. i love quizes, just like Prince George off Blackadder 3.

That one was a waste; he could have been a great player.

Think he's in Spain now or something commentating.

She's good, but IMO not the best they've got. I reckon that's Kevin, and I'd make Pat a close second.

OK, guys, I'll get back on it and have another look. Bear in mind that it'll probably be you doing at least some of the paperwork yourselves. Bear also in mind that the show is recorded in (I think) Glasgow.

I didn't actually think that much to Alun Evans even before he arrived TBH, though I was barely in my teens at the time so what did I know? Walsh was another matter. I really did rate him, was delighted when we bought him and couldn't believe his/our luck when he got crocked.

I agree that Kevin is the best, but Daphne has a tendency to pretend she doesn't know and then (with an innocent smile) "guesses" the right answer.

I find this irritating.
