Couldn't give a Fuck if it's one of our players TBH. In fact i'd be quite proud they'd had the bottle to do it considering footy's stupid prejudice regards it.
I might be being naive but I don't think the reaction would be that bad. Whoever it is would rightly be commended as lets face - It would be an incredibly brave thing to do.
You'd hope it doesn't make a difference but depending on who it is then you never know what another player might say to him after a challenge, or how his team mates would react etc. Shame that they would need to worry about this though

I agree. I could see most crowds being respectful about it.
Obviously there will be some dopes, but thats unavoidable.

That loathsome stoat Max Clifford said recently: "For a top player to come out, I would envisage they’d be a hard man, with an established reputation, and perhaps a year or two at most left in the game". I imagine he's involved now if there's any news story.
