I would prefer he waits longer. He worked hard to reach the world cup but was clearly not fit for it.

It has to be doubtful whether anyone involved in the World Cup Final will be able to start the first league match. So no Van Persie or Fabregas for them, no Kuyt or Torres for us. Just about evens itself out, I suppose. Assuming we buy another striker...

I'd be surprised if Torres plays, would be good though. Maybe Maxi for Kuyt too because Kuyt hasn't figured for us at all preseason.
