I don't think I've seen much of him so I wouldn't know if he really is shit. I remember his overhead kick against West Ham and that's about it... Hopefully he's just cover if he's not all that.

I can't agree. If that IS the line-up we're in danger of losing by a cricket score. Lucas wasn't good enough at DM even with the world's best midfield destroyer beside him - he certainly won't be with Aquilani in there. For all the stick Scharner's taken on here, some of it deserved, he would actually be a far better option in front of the back four.
Fingers crossed Roy does get a respectable transfer kitty. This just underlines how much he'll need it, especially if Masher goes.

Thankfully I don't think it is realistic. Broughton has said any money from sales will be reinvested in our transfer kitty so if Masher goes there should be a quality replacement and same goes for Torres (though I don't think he will be going anywhere bar an absolutely outrageous bid from Citeh - say 70M and up - not that I think he'd agree to go there anyway).

Seriously though i quite liked the look of him. We're going to have to replace Mascher, and from the limited alternatives that I've seen, this lad would be high up on my list.

Yeah, he's decent all right. The one I most liked the look of in the Ghana midfield was Asamoah, while Perez of Uruguay was the most directly comparable to Masher that I saw out there, but Annan would certainly be in the frame.
