Trying to turn the thread back to at least some semblance of a pre-match thread, I was just musing over the massive clear out that United will be going through in the next two years.

Matic, Mata, Cavani, Lingard and pogba all out of contract in the summer and Ronaldo, De Gea and Rashford done next summer (the first two with additional one year options).

Regardless of how good these players are they will need replacing along with Greenwood. That’s some serious cash before they can even think about strengthening the CB by replacing Bailey and (lol) maguire!

Now Bruno Fernandes has crashed his car

Anything to avoid playing us!

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes was involved in a car crash in the early hours of this morning.
No parties involved are understood to have sustained serious injuries and Fernandes is expected to train with the rest of Ralf Rangnick's squad on Monday, ahead of facing Liverpool in the Premier League on Tuesday night.
United have made no comment on this so far.

It’s been a complete and utter disaster from start to finish and that’s excluding the inevitable glory of the club’s biggest rivals.
After one of the most exciting summer transfer windows since Sir Alex Ferguson’s 2013 retirement, United have failed to deliver… and more.
From Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s early sacking to Old Trafford struggles, including embarrassment against Liverpool and Man City, to losing the club’s most exciting academy graduate in years – non-stop despair.
Results at the weekend went United’s way, but for me, the season is done. This squad’s pride was gone a long time ago.

It’s a term used often because it’s true – everything starts from the top.
The Glazers have been leeching off this club’s size and success since their takeover – it wouldn’t be allowed to happen in the modern-day – and Ferguson was the key to keeping the ship afloat.
This season feels like an explosion of a decade of shocking recruitment under Ed Woodward’s leadership.
Ralf Rangnick inherited a disproportionate squad of players from five different eras at the club – four of them unsuccessful – so it’s no surprise little has changed under his watch considering this squad has no idea what next season holds, or they didn’t until last week.
So I suppose I’ve just answered the question. The out-of-touch owners, the unfit figures they’ve trusted to run the club whilst they’ve hardly entered England for 17 years and the players who aren’t performing anywhere near what their wage slip implies.

Idk who bailey is but I think Rashford and De Gea will stay.
Rashford might get his things back on track with the new manager, so I think he will wait that one out.

Eric Bailly, the Ivorian defender, I reckon.

My feeling is that a new manager needs a full pre-season and the first half of the season to judge what he can keep and what he needs to jettison. In which case, the first genuine move will probably be in the winter window-- good luck with the World Cup, though. That said, and this being Man U we're talking about, he'll probably bring some of his trusted players from Ajax who will then spectacularly bomb, making the task of rebuilding that much harder. At least that's what I hope will be the case.

Right.
Hard to say who the new manager fancies, but there will be a lot of shite to shift there.

I think Ragnick will have compiled a dossier which Ten Haag will trust.

Of course I'm hoping Utd jettison Ragnick, but the plan seemed to always be to move him upstairs in the summer.

Who's going to be more motivated to end the tiny chances of a quad than these cunts? Only quad we'll be seeing is the 4 goals that preening ponce Ronaldo will score tomorrow night.

At best, we're getting a point. De Gea masterclass, Maguire finally turns up, any number of the rats that play for them putting in the shifts of their careers.

You forgot about the worldy that some unheard of reserve cunt of theirs will inevitably score, before fading back into obscurity.

Rashford needs to leave and go to a team where the manager will put faith in him and just let him play i.e. us, Klopp would have him firing again and it would piss off the utd fans no doubt and just show how shit their management and coaching setup is.

I hope he was drinking. Who in their right mind drives a VW Tiguan when you're being paid £240k a week?
I take it you missed the Porsche?

I didn't click the link. I'm not giving Talksport money for clicks, the cunts. Also hang on, he's been in this country for 3 years, why's he still driving a car with Portuguese plates?
So the speed cameras don't issue fines.

Worked with a French guy who did this.
