This is a big one. For me it defines the title challenge. Let’s see how we play it, they have strength in the places we have weaknesses.

Key players rested for both sides.

Alisson

Trent
Konate
Virgil
Tsimikas

Gravenberch
Macca
Szobo

Salah
Jota
Gakpo

Could see Slot starting Diaz down the middle, but it’s a proper CF for me.

I only want to see one of Trent & Robbo. I’d opt for Trent although would love to see Bradders start here.

Hopefully Konate is ok after pulling out of the squad today, since he got injured we leaked loads of goals.

Alisson
Trent,
Konate
Virgil
Roberto
Szoboslai
Gravenberg
McAllister
Salah
Diaz
Gakpo.

Toughest game of the season.

Really tough game and Forest will make it difficult for us. They are the 3rd best defensive team and will also hit us on the break with pace.

Alisson

Bradley
Konate
Virgil
Robbo

Macca
Gravy

Salah
Szobo
Gakpo

Diaz

Any regular starters that didn't start today are starting vs Forest (+Szobo for fitness). 9 rested. Szobo got some minutes after injury and Trent will have recovered his confidence.

--------------------------- Alisson

Trent ---------- Konate -------------Virgil --------- Robbo

---------------------------- Gravy

-------- Szoboslai --------------------- McAllister

Salah --------------------- Diaz -------------------- Gakpo

I think that's our best side right now. Could swap Robbo for Tsimi but I think the Greek deserves a shot.

Huge match.

Forest played ca. 5 of their starters today (basically their defence, but not the keeper, for 90 mins). Another 4 came on after 74 mins.

Be interesting to see how Arne approaches this one tactically, given they're the only team to beat us in the league.

This may finally be the test we've been waiting for.

People making far too much of Forest's win at Anfield. We bossed possession, wasted chances and basically should have won. It's on us we lost due to being profligate.

Shots 14 (5) - 5 (3)
Possession 70-30
Corners 7-2
Passing 604 (83%) vs 273 (69%)

Yeh that was a smash and grab.

They rested all 11 players (starters) I think
Yeah looking at their squad again, and based on starts this season, there are maybe 20 players that can all be classed as potential starters (due to the number of games they've played) but there are 11 that stand out as having fewer games by coming on as subs, so of course it depends on who is chosen ! But I wouldn't be surprised if you are right.

They’re doing well, and seem to be overachieving. Does anyone serously think they’ll finish above Arsenal Chelsea us and City? I don’t.
Won’t be any easy game, but I don’t think it’s as tough as some are making out. 2-4

This would be my choice. Trent needs a redemption arc but this isn’t the time for it. We need to get 3 points on the board and put pressure on Arsenal who play after us.

I have more confidence in physics.

Endo 1.78 m vs Woods 1.91m

Endo 0.5m shoulder width vs Taiwoo 2.5 meters
Now you mention it, after remembering how Wood brutalised Martinez......I've lost all confidence. Sorry Endo mate, you're just too short.

I do like endo, but yeah, this is going to be a game with a lot of physical and aerial battles.

It'll be a lot to ask of quansah, but equally it's his chance to prove he deserves to play for us

This would be my preferred team but it'll be Diaz for Jota and probably Robbo for Tsimi. Could be Jones & Bradley for Robbo & Szobo too but unlikely. Hopefully Konate is fit as we need him against Wood

Eh? Their entire back 5 didn’t start of any of their 11.

I think this game decides if it’s going to be a scrap or not. Lose and it’s a battle all the way.

My big fear is how well Forest nullified us at Anfield. We didn’t look like winning that game like we did others when going behind. That worries me that Nuno can do it again and we are very vulnerable on the break.

Huge game!

The only reason they nullified us is because the game was directly after the international break.

That’s plausible but not certain. Nuno is a decent tactician.

I would love a similar performance to when we went and smashed Leicester City 4-0 a few years ago. Crush any lingering doubts of a big wobble.
