Next is our game in hand vs Arsenal in midweek.

After that it's a gap of 17 days until the next league game (international break) so would be good to put the pressure on City players going into that break.

Mo looked about 40 years old when he was lining up that penalty. To be fair, he shaved off 10 years after converting.

I'm away from home at the moment with no BBC. Anyone got a link to a stream of the show (not iPlayer as I am not in UK and have no VPN)

David James has apparently said it wasn't a red because a goal was still scored. That's complete and utter garbage. What's even worse is that the officials seem to have followed the same line of "reasoning", like they did when Pickford crocked Virgil. That kind of physical assault has to be punished, whatever else happens afterwards, and there's bugger all in the rules which says otherwise.

I just purchased 3 months subs to 247sport.net. It was $24 and the streams much better than the free ones (no ads, HD, no buffering). I did get the occasional freezing, but that could just be my internet.
They let you preview a live game for a minute

Sánchez’s escape exposes another VAR flaw

If it looks like a red card, feels like a red card, it probably is a red card. Except that isn’t how VAR works. Jürgen Klopp, having seen Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sánchez escape further punishment for wiping out Luis Díaz as the Colombian gave Liverpool the lead, articulated the issue well. There is a sense that referees currently hesitate to give red cards knowing there are eyes in the sky. But those with the monitors cannot make a call unless there is a “clear and obvious” error. It is self-defeating. Ultimately, decisions need be right or wrong. There will always be a degree of subjectivity, but officiating must becollective. That includes VAR. “It happens constantly,” said Klopp. “Why do we have these discussions after games still if somebody is watching?”

I think this is true, seems like referees have in general stopped making decisions on field at times. They are just waiting for VAR.
In big calls I don't have a problem with that ... so long as VAR actually do make a call and not sit on their hands! It gives the ref. more time if for example he's called over to the monitor (as he should be) and he won't have to look like an idiot, nobody likes that. As has been said the 'clear and obvious' has to go. It's Right or Wrong.

Yeah, they just seem now to make less calls.
Saturday’s one was clearly visible for the onfield ref, and not to pick selectively but so was the one against Rodri yet the effectively just let play go till VAR runs their analysis.
The handball in Arse was ridiculous and different case, the VAR reviewed it 9 times before making decision. If they are replaying something that many times across multiple times then surely they aren’t sure and it’s not therefore clear and obvious.
