They really are coming thick and fast. Feels like there are very few areas where we can even make choices. Given deficiencies in midfield I would like to see Fabs in the middle, but also not against Matip resting up to be on form for Wolves.

-------------Alisson-----------
Neco--Matip--Rhys--Robbo
--------------Fabs---------------
--------Jones------Gini---------
Salah------Bobby-----Mane

Looking light on feasible subs - Jota, Hendo (let's also keep him fresh for Wolves), Minamino, Tsimikas, Origi + kids.

There are 2 options here for Klopp, we either send a weakened team out giving the firwt XI a much needed recovery for Wolves knowing that if they dont get a point we need another strong side against Midtylland. Or we send a strong team out try and secure qualification and then bin off the game next week and give every first teamer a rest.

Klopp has always seemed to prioritise CL ties so Im assuming he will want to get it done tomorrow and gamble we have enough left to beat Wolves before giving them next week off.

Honestly couldn't give a fuck tbh.

We're already playing with walking wounded, so I'm an ideal world we start with kids. The way the season is going we need to sacrifice something to make sure we can actually field a team by may.

I think we go with a strong side. The Wolves game is late Sunday night, so we'll have 4 full days of recovery. We win this, we win the group and the Midtjylland game becomes a dead rubber. Play the kids in that game.

Lol, u12s in the domestic cups... or maybe we can start the women's team.

We saw how important Hendo was in the Brighton game - so let's prioritise the PL for him. If there were another option I'd want to see Matip rested until Wolves too but that would leave us lacking CM options big time.

I'd worry about Williams playing at RB. His confidence is wrecked. It's slightly odd that Fabinho hasn't been tried there, as after all that used to be his position and still sometimes is for Brazil. The obvious reason why he isn't filling in there is that he's filling in elsewhere, but we're really struggling - the next in line after Williams is good but he's only 17.

Not much option to that team and hopefully Fabs can support Neco. Maybe start Minamino in place of Gini who doesn't seem to have had a break for at least 50 games !

I've no problem with Hendo, Jota & Gini coming on after say 70 mins for a run out. Ditto Tsimikas & Origi if we are in a position to. Not sure which kids could get a game and if they can in a CL match (do they need to be registered) ?

If Matip is back at CB to partner Rhys/Nat (inc. future PL games in this) then maybe Fabs would be the better shout on that flank.

Not sure he prioritised CL last week.

The monumental worry over neco for me, is that were allowing fans in next week.

In an empty stadium, a nobheads voice is going to be amplified no end

I think the only way out of this form for him is a run in the u-23s. Get some belief back.

Walking wounded...lol

The Wolves game isnt until Sunday night, so it gives us a bit more flexibility with some players.
Sounded like maybe Naby could start, that would be good.

I 'd go with Fabinho at right back with Rhys Williams and Matip as the centre halves.
Hendo Gini and Jones in the middle with Bobby, MO and Sadio up front but wouldn't be averse to Jota starting for Jones

Yeah, Williams needs taking out of the firing line for a bit at least.

The last thing we want is to play all our fit CBs outside of the CB positions and have them breaking down 1 by 1 again. We should minimize playing them as much as possible.

Neco is doing ok. If it's a confidence issue then it doesn't help if we have Fab, Rhys or that Greek fella covering in when he is fit and ready. The season is still long and we will need everyone fit physically and mentally rather than trying to tear a player apart from within.

Great point and with Klopp, you know that he'll make the best call on this sort of thing.

I wonder if they're any chance of Oxlade Chamberlain coming in at RB?

He did the wing back role for Arsenal a fair few times.

Indeed. With Klopp's tutelage he'll only improve with games. He's learning what to do and what not to do ... he won't try to make a silly tackle in the box again !

Lot of twitter talk that Alisson is out for tomorrow. Please God let it not be true.
There was Twitter talk Matip was out injured for the last game ... he wasn't of course. Maybe there is an outside chance Klopp gives Becker a rest though. Lots of games coming up, though I suspect this isn't the one to rest him in.

Was Kostas really bad last game?
I thought he did alright considering it was his first proper game against a decent opponent
