How is it normal for manager and all staff not to know about an important player having left the club when they notice the player isn’t at the team hotel and have to call the player himself to ask?
Turning up and wondering why your player isn't there due to the fact you haven't been told that he's been sold is not "part of football".
I think you're conflating the board selling a player against the managers wishes, with simply not telling the manager whats happening, there's a big difference between the two.
