I've been entirely civil and presented my views in a cogent, even-handed and compelling fashion

I struggle to see the point you're making or its relevance to the current situation

As for Lallana, it's an interesting point. I find it amusing that nine months of top level performances make the previous 36 somehow irrelevant

You argued vehemently that he was never going to be good enough for us. As you did for Henderson, Firmino, etc. He'd get in just about any side on the planet these days. So if we'd heeded your advice, we'd be worse off.

And you've spent the last 4-5 months repeatedly calling Firmino "a fat useless spastic" and referring to posters as 'Sloggypop'.

So maybe it's you who doesn't know the meaning of certain words?

You said Firmino could score 20 goals

You said Bravo was a top keeper

You said Kane was a one- season wonder and overrated

You said Spurs were shit and wouldn't be a threat

You said Lallana would get 15 goals

You said Origi could be world class

Everything you say is risible, laughable bollocks and is, without any exception, completely and miserably wrong
A lot of things he said was pro Liverpool but yeah, throw them in his face. Give over.

It is a bit of a shame. Brendan has all the attributes to be one of the best posters on this site (and sometimes he is still funny and great to tune in to), but he's become all too often the very thing he despises, an annoying mentalist. I find myself skipping his posts when it is anything to do with football.

It's extremely fucking tiresome.

Just about every thread is derailed with his repetitive shite.
Brendan wondered ya "soggypop" was allowed slag Arn when he himself jeered Dreamie, someone who has been a part of the furniture for a decade.

Never thought I'd see Bredan defend DB.

This in a nut shell.
It feels like such a waste.

I've had the dullard on ignore for months. Highly recommended.

Brendan posts to amuse himself, before others. I get that of course, but his problem is that his version of amusement just ends up as really fucking irritating to everyone else.

He's become a parody of himself. The same tiresome shit is really grating. I wish he'd just take a break for a few days or something.

Let's bite our tongue, I'm still waiting on Brendan to count Costa's goal tally, and Aguero's, wait! Frimono and Mane. Oh and Sturridge and Origi's too.

You've forgot another one of his top hits.
Spurs usually finish above us in the table.

Which is wrong obviously.
But he twists it with regarding what years to use to suit his argument.

Alright, enough.

Can we talk about the fucking match given he's not actually here to derail the thread at the moment?

It was a good result despite how it feels right now, we should have got a second towards the end when we had loads of breaks, but I was encouraged to see those chances coming about again, Coutinho makes such a difference to the team, and players in the team (read Firmino), hopefully with his return our form improves. Hopefully we can have an emphatic performance against Swansea and get the three points, then take that form into the game against Spurs.

The match was gash. Pretty much standard for any game Maureen is involved him. He must always feel like he needs a massive shit, the whole game a nervous constipated mess.

It isn't easy to quantify how we played against that turgid bloated cunt of a side. But at the end it did indeed feel like we'd had that enormous dump. It was messy, it hurt, but at least it's dealt with, we're over any pain, and we know it's over until the next time.

Would have taken a point before the game but feel a bit gutted we didn't pick up all 3 in the end tbh. I'm sure the ale house "just fackin launch it " will be lauded as some inspirational tactics by Maureen. Yet again they get out of a game with another offside goal, very annoying.

Mig had a great game, Lovren was Lovren some moments of madness followed by some proper defending and I thought he dealt with Zlatan really well today.

Big pluses for us are the returns of Henderson who's massively important to how we play and of course Phil, him Firmino and whomever is going to play in Manes place until his return will hopefully start clicking again.

Why did Mourinho leave before half time? Classic siege mentality or just being a prick?

As someone said the the match thread. 600 million £ and its long hoofs towards Fellaini that you serve up.

I thought TAA had a pretty good game. 18 years old and at OT, didnt look out of place in my opinion and has gotten some undeserved flack.

He had plenty to fix at half-time was my guess.

Carrick couldn't control, and given the space they had out wide - I'm surprised they didn't make more of it.

My point was that it was very indulgent just to leave. But I agree, he had plenty to fix.

Just as a small aside and probably not the right place to post this - I don't really care. I'm just watching MOTD2. Andy Carrol's goal was fucking sublime!
