Post Match Thoughts: Swansea - Liverpool

Can't agree with that. Moses was class on the ball, seems to have more tactical nouse and has less of a tendency to give the ball away ... something Sterling manages to do 50% of the time.

Sterling is forever giving away silly freekicks in dangerous areas.. he has done that a few times.. some of which have cost us...

Hoping Allen get some of his mojo back as well so that we have more options in midfield.

Decent result, but disappointing display and annoying to let a lead slip. Sahko will be boss in 2 months time once he gets fit and comes to terms with the pace of English football.

Moses (when fit) + Suarez + Studge + Coutinho = lots of goals going forward.

Unbeaten and top of the league after 4 games

Aspas has been pretty underwhelming so far.

Hope Coutinho won't be injured for too long. I would actually play Alberto over Aspas next week.

He has well fallen out of favour... Shows how much.. when BR wasn't prepared to bring him on against his old team..

TBH Allen on form probably would of been an ideal player to bring on when Coutinho went off...

Apparently the players say the training is tougher than ever, so maybe it's leaving them drained rather than keeping them sharp. But we do have to improve the second half performances.

Gerrard was a huge disappointment - you'd have thought he, rather than Shelvey, was in turmoil during the second half. He's the one who should have got hold of the ball, dictated the pace and got the team focused again, but he was peripheral apart from the odd Hollywood pass. Lucas was the real leader out there and he worked his arse off.

We must be doing head tennis in training because that's the second match in a row when we had moments when it was as if we didn't want to stop and ended up losing possession. Bring it down quick and move on.

God knows what's up with Aspas. He obviously needs game time but he should have it in the ressies if he's as baffled by this league as he seemed tonight. That was painful.

We got a point, so we can survive this and move on, but it was an alarmingly immature performance in the second half.

Sakho - utterly brilliant and utterly shit all in the same game. Needs to stay on his fucking feet, I think the gaffer told him that at half time
Moses - Looked good but is utterly lazy or utterly unfit, I hope it's the latter
Sturridge - Does he have an aversion to getting in the box and playing as a centre forward? People keep getting out wide and have no one to pass to in the box, I'd be tempted to push him out wide and play Suarez up top if he keeps that up. Good performance though considering he was pretty isolated
Mignolet - Makes some excellent saves and punches but he worries me at times and his distribution is bollocks
Gerrard - If he wasn't the captain I'm sure he'd be benched sometimes
Aspas - I'm sure we brought him on the 2nd half?

Rodgers - Needs to fix this 2nd half going into our shell thing, no idea why it's happening, are the players bottling it? Weird

Point away at Swansea is good result though and we're back top of the league where we belong

Sakho will get a free pass from me. Shouldn't have played tonight and they tried Agger all the way to kick-off. Vey difficult environment tonight for a new, young-ish player in the best league in the world.

He needs to improve incredibly though as he was not only involved amateurishly in both their goals but also in loads of other dodgy situations.

The fact we have failed to buy another creative outlet for our midfield could be our great downfall this Season, especially if Coutinho is injured. If not him then who are we going to rely on creating our goals, linking midfield to attack, keep the ball moving when we need a breather?

Alberto? Henderson? Gerrard? Allen?

PS Where is Allen, is he injured?

Wisdom looks exactly like I've been saying he looks. Inexperienced kid with potential but can not be relied upon. The breakdowns came far more frequently from the right.

Sakho - I slated him at HT but he has class, very good technical ability but needs to stay on his feet more. I like him.

Aspas - losing patience. He offered absolutely nothing when he came on.

Countinho - I really hope that injury clears up quickly, without him we lose the midfield.

Moses - buy, buy, buy. Composure, creativity, technical ability, shooting boots ... kids got it all and will only get better with games.

Mingnolet - what a good shot-stopper, growing on me all the time. Dominates his area too, and vocal.

I really want to know what the fuck happens to us when the bell tolls 60 mins. We're like a bloody turtle.

So you'd keep Agger benched then?

Wondering if the international games had any effect on Gerrard. I wonder if it would be worthwhile to rest Gerrard after international week but I am not sure if we have the quality to do so.

10 points after 4 games without our best player is a bloody achievement for us. Suarez, Agger and Toure returning to the fold should shore things up a bit and keep us in the running until Jan. During which, we really need to look to bolster our midfield and rightback options.

Mignolet
Enrique
Agger
Toure
Johnson
Henderson
Gerrard
Coutinho

Moses
Sturridge
Suarez

HAVE THAT YOU CUNTS.

One more thing about Sakho. He doesn't seem to have a right foot. Wonder if it will mean anything if we were to play an Agger Sakho partnership.

Swansea were excellent in the second half - they pressed us all over the park, never an easy pass on for us - they should be given some credit, I reckon that was a point gained rather than lost.

We missed Suarez tonight.
He would have terrorized that dodgy looking back four and more than likely got that fat Welsh wanker sent off.

Inviting pressure wil inevitably lead to goals, we saw it against County of all sides. Sakho's rustiness didn't help but inviting pressure and a poor midfield will cost us with or without Agger or whoever. The midfield and right back positions need a re-jig, Gerrard needs to pull his finger out if we're to persevere with Coutinho in ahead of the central two.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but I still think we let them back in and let them dictate the pace. And it worries me that other teams will be watching that and will try to do the same. Lucas was pretty much the only functioning midfielder after the hour mark.

I think we have ourselves to blame to be honest because for all their pressing and passing second half, we had so many chances or at least good opportunities to win that game and didnt take them.
Henderson, Sturridge, Coutinho, Moses all had really good chances to either score or create an easy chance for another and they chose the wrong options.
