Post-match pondering

I'm not sure why anyone would want to make any excuses for Roy. He just isn't up to the task. No amount of time will change things.

It would be easy to say he lost the plot but IMO he never had one! Woefully out of his depth...

Rafa may not be everyone's cup of tea but he is x10 the manager Roy is.

I don't know what is worse, losing the game or having to listen to the "I told you so brigade".

No one 'really' wanted Roy. The majority would have bitten the hand off Van Gaal (insert decent manager here). Yes there is a thread where many gave him support but at that stage we we're resigned to having Roy on board.

Are the 'told you so' brigade quietly or even subconsciously happy we lost so they can harp on how "Roy is a dithering old fool". Jesus, it is boring and not needed. It is easier to lambast something than support it I presume.

I wasn't too keen for Roy to take over but tried to support it once it was announced. I have lost all faith in him and hope he is removed as soon as we get new owners but I won't gloat in his demise. That is pathetic. People also hoping we'd lose so Roy get's the boot is also pathetic.

Well said D.

To be fair only a few posters like Brendung wanted us to lose to bolster their point (even though everyone said he was a shit choice from day one).

You must have missed the pre match posts where at least three of the hapless bellends said they wanted us to lose.

Didn't get a chance to read them Mark.

I laugh at the few people who 'knew' this was going to happen and that 'Roy is an old fool' but yet stated we'd win today in various threads. Cover themselves nicely.

Excellent post. A big "x2" from me.

The amount of fucking retards who quacked on about how he would:

'Steady the ship'
'Do the simple, obvious things'
'Get us playing football again'
'Put a smile back on the players' faces'

Basically the same 'anyone but rafa' cretins

Yeah. Who's laughing now?

GYAC: *nobody*

And loads of pitiful mongs who said 'Give Him A Chance!"

Ahboohoohooohoo!
People wanted to give him a chance and 'hoped' he suceed to some level where LFC could benefit from. What is wrong with that?

If Roy suceeded then it meant Liverpool would be doing okay. Obviously people lived in hope and if they we're right we all benefitted. But as I said it's easier to lambast everything and 'know' all along we'd be shit. A lot easier.

Not easier. Just obvious. *shrugs*

But do all join in with the hand-wringing and boohooing and 'how long should budgie get?'

I've had time to prepare myself, because I knew he'd be shit

Most fans knew he was a poor choice, but most also knew that whoever we appointed would have to be backed and stuck with. I don't think anyone expected him to take us to the title or any major success, but hoped at least he would steady the ship and whatever until the ownership issue was resolved.

No one was saying he'd be a success but people rightfully want to support because it's the right thing to do as fans, well better than acting the cunt from the word go anyway.

Of course Brendan is the only fan in existence who knew the chances of success with this appointment. So don't dare question his opinion ever again. How pitiful and ignorant of us all to have not seen this coming. Oh.

He deserved a chance because he was appointed and we couldn't do fuck all about it, just most of us were decent enough to not bollock on in every thread about the same old shit.

Yes Brendan, many here hoped he would steady the ship, appease certain players, make the simple decisions!! Of course they did, it's called optimism and support. It has turned out that it was a bit of blind faith and many now want Roy to step aside as it hasn't worked.

Did you want everyone to be a 'realist' and not give a new manager a chance? He has had his chance and needs to move on as soon as we get new owners. The realists gave him a chance (which he deserved) and now want him replaced (which he also deserves).

You seem to have a habit of claiming to call it like it is. You are a quick to tell us player x is shit and that you knew all along and roll out Lucas, Josemi and some other useless cunts as your references. Surely anyone can could play that game. People who decided to support Roy when he first arrived aren't the 'drooling fuckwits'. The person who revels in the demise of our club so he can ram his ' I told you so's" down our throats is the fuckwit Brendan, so cut it out for a while for god's sake.

He didn't deserve the chance to manage Liverpool. He was given that chance by a lying fucking weasel and a Chelsea fan. Over Dalglish.

And what was more galling was so many people talking about what positives Budgie would bring: staedy hand, somplicity. FUCKING media savvy.

Had nobody ever watched his teams play? He was, and is, a mediocre old dinosaur who has fuck all ever, and was appointed by people who know fuck all about football.

Why would I give him a chance? And it's not 'I told you so' simply because it was so fucking obvious he'd be shit, the argument isn't worth winning

It is easier IMO Brendan but sure we'll leave it as that.

I don't care how long 'Budgie' has left nor will I bother discussing it.

*Shrugs*

I didnt say he deserved to manage us. He deserved our support at the start of the season. Perhaps chance was a poor choice of word as it was misleading.

I haven't really watched much of his recent teams so I cannot comment. Have you watched his teams play? I thought you don't watch football bar Liverpool.

Brendan, i'm not hear to defend Roy, I'm against all this ' I told you so' dramatics. That's it really.

Oh, wow, if that news re: Hicks is true, we may as well end it all now.
GAME OVER.

Roy Hodgson wasn't first choice replacement and was only given a 2 year contract.

His appointment has gone badly wrong, no-one can see a pattern to our play and even the Kop have started up the Dalglish chant which is a sure sign they do not have faith in his ability.

At this point it's no longer about giving him time, it's about the club. We do not want to be still pondering this in December whilst in the relegation zone.

It's never easy to tell someone they can't do their job to the standard required but we must be ruthless. Waiting to see if things turn around is a dangerous game. Appointing Dalglish won't be a panacea but we need a boost.

No doubt the 'real' Manager will be picked by the new owners in due course anyway.

New owners

It was obvious the Dalglish chant was going to be more regular and loud, we all know what it means, so does Budgie. Pursslow and Chelsea Fan probably do too. Won't make any difference though, because they're all cunts

When Brendan gets on his knees and apologises for Robbie Keane, I'll apologise for Hodgson.

Hell will freeze over before.

Was Keane the only player Brendan 'backed'?
I thought his gameplan as to only pick the obvious useless cunts and tell us they'd fail.
Yeah, he's the only player I've ever 'backed'.

Durrrrrrrrrr
Didn't realise you had an exstensive list Bren.

I've been a big fan of some quite divisive players over the last few years: Riise, Kuyt, Bellamy, Alonso (amazingly)

I just tend to be able to spot really *shit* players quickly
