Even if they win those, their goal difference is dire. It would be fascinating to know what Eddie Howe said at his interview about keeping them up.

I voted no but I am rethinking now. I thought the takeover would give them some spirit or momentum but that hasn't happened. No wins in 13 games, only 6 points on the board. They have Burnley and Norwich next. If they fail to put a win on the board in these two games, going to be very tricky to avoid relegation.

After those two they have Leicester, us, City and Utd. Here's to a Pukki Party!

I do enjoy the when the camera switches to the Newcastle takeover crew in the crowd, the joyless expressions questioning when this shit will get better.

Would be genuinely hilarious if they stayed up all this time under Ashley to then go down under the Saudis.

Their only hope is to throw money at the wall and hope it sticks. Sign the likes of Smalling, Umtiti, and whoever else they can get

Next 2 matches are home games against the 2 teams above them. Surely they have to go for it? They'll jump from 6 pts to 12 pts and put pressure on those 15th-17th placed teams.

After these, their subsequent 4 matches are against Leicester, Liverpool, Man City and Man Utd.

They'll make the required amount of signings/loans in Jan to stay up.
They won't though, because they'll have left themselves needing top 4 form to get out of trouble come Jan 1st.

Between now and time they can register a new signing they need to play likes of ;
Leicester away
Liverpool away
Man City at home
Man Utd at home

Not so sure Norwich will go down now. Unbeaten in their last 4 games including 3 under Dean Smith. And as a guaranteed 6 pointer for us I'd love them to stay up !

I'm rooting for Leeds to go down with Newcastle.

But only because it might let us get Raphinha, to be honest.

Amanda Staveley's only got one expression though. Her face has been lifted higher than the Empire State Building.

She also looks like she's in The Wizard of Oz:

The real question is could Everton go down this season. 2 points from the last 24, the fans have turned on the manager and the squad if paper thin

The thing that’s in Newcastle’s favour is they’re not really adrift yet because there’s a whole host of shite about them.

They’re only 6 points off 17th and 9 points off as high as 11th.

Man Utd are closer to them than us... which is fucking fantastic in itself...

My dream may come true this season. Us win the league and Everton relegated on the same day.

Yes, they will. It's too late for them to pull this round. They'll make signings in the New Year but not enough quality players will want to go there even for silly money.

I still think they’re not far enough removed from the teams above to make relegation a certainty.

Couple of loan signings and a couple of “battle hardened” players might sort them out - it’s short term players they need right now, not players that are going to get them into Europe, but players that could see the battle up the league enough to stay up.

Tarkowski, Traoré, someone with a bit of bite in midfield and maybe a striker of some sort.
