How are they. You cannot win the champions League without qualifying for it, it is correct..

You can’t win the league without maintaining your status the season before which is another 38 games. That is if you are going to count games for the previous season for one treble you have to for the other.

I think winning the champions league is more difficult than winning your domestic league. City and PSG have thrown hundreds of millions at it in recent years and got nowhere so it's obviously incredibly difficult even though they mop up their domestic cups.

Premier League + Champs League + League/FA Cup. If you replace FA Cup with Club World Cup means you’ve retained Champs League so it trumps the FA Cup. Super Cup and Charity Shield don’t count. It’s a one off.

What? Leicester played 38 games the season before and managed a great escape to stay in the league which if they hadn’t they could never have been champions the following year

You are missing the point. To win the league you have to be in the league and to be in the league you have to avoid relegation which takes most teams at least 25-30 games oh the previous season to achieve. In Leicester’s case it was right up til the final day so 38 games.
