I don't know about being scared of Utd specifically but generally one amazing year doesn't wipe away years of frustration.

As for Utd fans at the time, I'd be pretty cool too if we were winning the ttile year in, year out and had the resources to outspend everyone in teh division.

Things always seem precariously balanced for us.

They've been riding high, have they, whilst we're one season wonders?

Ok - will take that as I actually trust Gary Neville's decision on it because he was pretty sure it would be a penalty, and yeah those decisions this season have consistently become pens. But still wonder if he had rugby tackled Pogba then maybe he would have got away with it like the Newcastle keeper on Mane.
The keeper thing is all on Mané.
He should have performed "Les Miserables" for the referee.

From doubters to believers to paranoid bottlers. Oh, our fans, the twelfth man indeed.

Doubts with evidence does not equal "paranoid bottlers" - more like realists who actually see problems to keep hold of our title.

Not sure about this fatigue argument.

Every team is suffering from this.

We were just too relaxed against WBA and too poor (finishing wise only) against Newcastle.

I think it's more mental than physical for 2 reasons.

We have been 'on' for more than 2 seasons. As in at no point did we reach a stage where the games meant nothing and we were on the beach.

The second is that the way Klopp has them pressing, they needed to be focused throughout. A lot of other teams are old school, like Ole, it's not highly planned, it takes care of itself as they have quality players. This also runs alongside why new players need time to learn and adjust to our system.

We maybe have tried to relax and get by against WBA and Newcastle. But that's not working so, it's gonna need to go back to the ultra focused and mentally draining approach.

He didn't trip himself, the villa player touched his leg and caused him to, as you said, "trip himself".
So definite pen imo.

Nah. If you watch closely, the Villa man plants his foot on the ground first.

Pogba then brushes Luiz's calf, then trips himself up. Therefore it's not a penalty. For me, I look for who initiated the contact and how much contact there is.

In this case, it was Pogba, and there wasn't much. The bigger contact came from Pogba himself tripping himself up. I wouldn't have given him a foul outside the box, let alone inside it. It should have gone to review.

Freeze the clip posted on page 3 at about 3 seconds - you can see where it went wrong for the Villa player.

I can actually see the argument here, Pogba does indeed kick his own leg and fall over. He does that because the defender has brushed against his leg and altered its trajectory while in motion, similar to an ankle tap in rugby. The question is whether or not that contact between Luiz and Pogba which causes him to fall over is a foul. Pogba is nominally the player in control of the ball at that point so the contact by Luiz is a foul in my opinion. Its incredibly soft and very unlikely to be given anywhere else on the pitch.

It’s not a foul anywhere on the pitch or for any other team.

Knee-knocking because it's the mancs is not 'realism,' moron. It's childish panic. The mancs, if they, too, have enough time on their hands to have a 'meltdown' thread on their forums, must be pissing themselves laughing at how quickly the fans of world champions are collapsing into gibbering wrecks. Grow up.

Yeah, I dont get it either. This season its already been Leicester, Chelsea, Everton and Spurs that can win the league cause they were second. Now its Utd.

Concentrate on our own team. Who despite crippling injuries and being bottom of the VAR table are actually in first spot. That tells you something about the fight in these lads. We also have a winning mentality and Jurgen Klopp. Fuck the Mancs.

Perhaps the problem is we're in a weird period of dire form, whereas United are grinding out wins

For me, the concern lies with us playing them in a few weeks. We need to 1) find form and 2) avoid injuries to a few key players (fab being the main one)

Man U are this month's Spurs, who in turn were the previous month's Chelsea. who themselves were the previous months Everton.
It will be either us or Man City that wins the title I reckon with us being favourites at the moment
Hope you're right

Be arsed with ole at the wheel if he drives them to a trophy

Spurs just got a pen after a foul that to me looked just outside the box.
Bergwijn's left leg even landed outside the box after the Leeds defender made contact with it but he spun and landed in the box.

One of the quickest VAR check to 'confirm' that it was in the box...Peno given

It was on the line/inside the box. Easy call in all honesty. Leeds with some great attacking football but shite defending.

There is no panic amongst any of us, its just clear that we have a better grasp of reality about how we have performed lately than your blind loyalty. Right now your constant counter arguments remind me of the Iraqi Comical Ali

Stick a better forward than bamford in that Leeds side and they'd be fucking flying
Aware bamford has 10 goals in 16 but he's just meh

They've been great going forwards but bizarrely go for man to man marking which when spurs leave Kane and son forwards every time they're not in possession just spells disaster, they've got plenty of runners and have won a couple of second balls and swarmed forward, expecting more goals for spurs in second half if this Leeds tactic continues

Nah they need to learn how to defend. They're absolutely shocking at the back. No idea why they get such a bumming from the media despite being hugely flawed in one of the most fundamental facets of the game. They're lucky there are a good few sides worse than them, because they have a relegation-worthy defence

Bielsa best coach in the league. Leeds are great! They were unlucky in that narrow 6-2 defeat at Old Trafford.

You are right. He’s gets bummed more than anyone and they’re shocking. Spurs look like they can score every single time they get in the Leeds half.

Problem with leeds is they overload the wings, so if a team just plays down the middle, it's all up to kalvin phillips to stop about 5 men

They're shite
