Pellegrini Set To Be Unveiled as Next Liverpool FC Manager

So Keni, would you sacrifice England getting knocked out, so that Capello could be Liverpool manager?

If we were guaranteed Capello, yeah. It's not like England are going to win it anyways, so ultimately I suppose it doesn't really matter when we get knocked out.

In reality, I'm not sure we'd get him even if he did become available.

England get Hodgson, we get Capello...

Not a bad trade...
My thoughts exactly.

I'd do it just to laugh at Spidey in a few years time.

Crapello indeed.

And Spidey was one of Benitez's biggest fans!

Is it the case that this Pelle guy speaks no English whatsoever?
Neither does Kenny.
Or Carra or Steven...

Ex Real Madrid manager who got madrid their highest ever total or the current Fulham boss? Wow, thats a hard one!! >🙁

I know its only Fulham but its a bit worrying Hodgson only managed 2 away wins in the league last year.

I really dont want him but will be made up if i'm wrong, as he is a decent man.

The team spirit stank of how it was in the last year under Benitez too.

And yet, some of Benitez's most ardent critics in that area, don't seem to want to criticise, or lay the blame at Capello's door for that. How strange...

I was waiting for you to bring it up, John.

Capello fully deserves criticism for his management decisions, but this hardly the the first time England's sent its primadonnas to the WC only to show zero team spirit.

Rafa's also been in the job for 6 years; if he cant get the players he bought himself to play forhim, its his funeral.

But, according to people on here, its the manager's job to set up the team and send them out committed. Capello has failed in that respect as did Benitez. How is it different?

Why did Capello change the formation and shunt Gerrard out wide?
Why does Capello insist on not naming the team until 2 hours before kick off and yet tell us that Barry will be playing 48 hours beforehand?
Why did he wait so long to change the look of the team when it was clearly wrong?
Why did he send on Wright-Phillips and not Joe Cole on the left?

Change Capello's name for Benitez and England for Liverpool there and imagine the reaction on here. So Capello has won things in the past, so did Benitez. Its the here and now that counts.

Dead on.

Yeah, I guess I'm guilty of double-standards in that respect. But Rafa had my full support and belief for the first three or four seasons he was at Liverpool; he was also making those kind of decisions on a weekly basis, all year round, whereas Capello only sees the squad for a few weeks each year. Add to that the fact that the England team is full of utter cunts; that they ALWAYS play like useless, lazy, spineless twats in World Cup finals; and that, quite frankly, I don't really care whether they win or lose, and those are my main reasons for not blaming Capello for the way we're playing this summer.

I'd take him as Liverpool manager in a heartbeat, especially as he'd have something to prove.

I'm not really disagreeing with anything you say, John.

But Capello has to pick a team and meld players he didn't buy or choose, and he's been in the job for 3.5 years less. But I'm pretty sure the firestorm that awaits Capello should England crash out will make Rafa's tenure here look (heh) Messianical, so your point definitely stand. Capello has been woeful thus far, no ONE will deny that..but dont you think your linkage to Rafa is tenuous, at best?

Capello deserves the stick he's getting though, he's made some poor decisions.
Its not in any way double standards.
One manager 6 years into a 5 year plan lost 19 games and finished 7th in the league and lost every other competition he was in for the past 4 years.
The other has not yet lost a competetive game in the ONLY tournament he has been in charge of. If they go out then he will shoulder his share of the blame, but at this minute in time the differences between the two situations are legion.

If Hodgson really wanted to manage England and he thought he was in the frame to do so I doubt that us deciding that we would get in quick is really going to put him off!

England could be out by the end of the week. Woy himself would delay talks til then regardless of what Purslow wants

Anyone who would rather manage England than Liverpool can fuck right off.

And I like Woy.

Pellegrini odds cut

Roy Hodgson is being linked with the Liverpool job, but it's Manuel Pellegrini who is the market mover. Pellegrini has refused to rule out that he could be about to become the next manager of Liverpool Football Club.

The former Real Madrid manager is currently on holiday in Santiago, Chile and is refusing to talk about his options but his odds have crashed down to 7/2 2nd favourite. Roy Hodgson remains the 4/6 odds on favourite to be the Next Liverpool Manager.

Why have we not appointed Pellegrini? He is the most high class manager we can hope for and instead we are still tossing up with appointing hodgeson. FUCK!
