Erm, no. He'll base it on his discussions with Hodgson as he has made clear. So if Hodgson tells him the first part of his masterplan involves Paul Scharner then it just might be the case that Torres is not impressed. Sometimes there are grounds for hysteria. Scharner to Liverpool is one such reason.

By the end of it we had signed (along with more uninspiring signing we had the guts of a side that kept us near the top of the league for a decade.

[/quote]titi camara wasn't young, neither was Erin meijer who we signed that summer. Both were shit' signings but as part of what turned out to be a good window.
And by the same token that I'm not doing cartwheels that we are signing cole, turan etc I'm not crying about this right now. I'll see where we are first day of the season before turning into a woe is me plank.
 
I did think positive. After seeing the thread title i though no, ok maybe he died and its a condolences thread. Or maybe he failed a drug test, or was arrested or something. I was very positive as i clicked on it.

[/quote]coz our squad is wafer thin and this lad can play about 4 positions? I'm not inspired by the signing but if he's to be cover for injuries etc then fine, he's not THAT bad a player.
 
Paul Scharner is a very good acquisition...

... in a game of fantasy football. Largely because he's a *bit* better than everyone thinks he is and is usually one of the stand-out players in a shit team.

I fear mediocrity beckons.

Perhaps certain posters should put a hold on their frothing until there is confirmation that the player is joining.

The poster sharing the info has on occasion provided us with some accurate news and however there have been plenty of misses mixed in with those hits.

Perhaps a nice cup of tea and a few deep breaths would be a good alternative to covering their screens with spittle.

Until the player is unveiled with a Red and White scarf at least.

He also referred to them as Sons of Strikers, which I have to admit, made me chuckle a bit, despite the obvious insult.
