Real, Barca, Chelsea, PSG and City are interested ...

Today's leading Mirror headline:

Manchester City all set to land Paul Pogba in a British-record £71million deal

Is this the start of their complete revamp now that FFP is 'sidelined'? Pogba? Sterling? De Bruyne?

If they sign those 3, will that fire power with Kun & Silva manage to shield that average (at best) back 4? Or do they need to spend big there in order to challenge Chelsea & Arsenal (apologies Sean)?

My understanding is that those three were identified as the main targets long before the recent FFP stuff so they must've known they were going to be given a free run.

Arsenal are good but with those three City will be on a different level again I think. It'll be City vs Chelsea.

Hopefully Pogba chooses a different club - not sure why he'd go to City with Real and the like interested to be honest. They need an answer to the Yaya dilemma and there aren't many out there.

Sterling and De Bruyne are upgrades on Nasri and Navas so not absolutely essential.

I've never thought they were out of the running anyway. City's problems were 2-3 years down the road - other than Toure their older players all have another title challenge in them.

Haven't you been saying City are more or less in the shit due to the state of their squad?

Yeah, but not next season. Can't you fucking read?

I don't memorize your opinions, Peter, hence the question.

But don't worry, I won't bother reading anything else you have to say if that's how you want to conduct yourself.

I'll love it if the wankers get none of them. Pogba isn't guaranteed and if Barca offer the cash I'm sure he'd rather go there instead, De Bruyne is talking about a new contract, and sterling god only knows about the little cunt.

Memory has nothing to do with it. It's in the post you quoted. Their problems 2-3 years hence etc.

I'm not referring to that post. I'm referring to posts that you've made over the last year, if memory serves (which perhaps it doesn't hence the question), that argue that City are going to struggle to maintain their current or previous level due to the age of their squad etc.

Anyways, I no longer care as you're being such a prick.

I apologise for snapping, you caught me in an impatient mood.

Re the point. You're of course right in what you remember. But as I maintain I made clear in the above post, that doesn't actually apply to the very immediate future. It doesn't really seem that complicated tbh.

I've never really seen the hype to be honest. Granted I've only really watch a handful of games properly that he's played in. He looks good on YouTube but he seems to trade more on his name and the hype from the FIFA generation.

If I'm honest, he doesn't seem to have the ability to dominate the majority of a game BUT he's a game winner - pops up non-stop with big goals or assists, something all title winners have ample of (and they lacked last year because Yaya had disappeared). He's basically a replacement for him imo.

Couldn't care less about Pogba although it always amuses me greatly that the Mancs let him slip through their fingers without getting anything out of him or for him.

Yes, there was a "European football expert" on TalkSh!te earlier today saying Pogba's increasingly keen on a move to Barca. Didn't say whether they want him or whether they'd be prepared to meet the asking price.

He's quality. The best bit is those twats down the road at old Trafford let him leave. Haha

If Barcelona are seriously about signing him, which I'm pretty sure they are ... then there is only one club he is heading too.

You'd be absolutely fucking insane to pass on the opportunity playing alongside Neymar, Suarez & Messi.
